A couple days later, Jay was finally coming out of his room, and eating with you again. Jay sometimes went to eat with his skeleton arm still on. You didn't mind it anymore, and never told him to cover it up. If he didn't mind showing the world, good for him. After a while everyone stopped turning to look at his arm, so you assumed that they were used to it, too.

One day, you heard a bang, and an alarm went off. Everyone rushed to their rooms to grab their weapons. When you saw what was going on, you weren't startled. A shifter the size of a tank was standing outside of the tree. Everyone was running down the stairs to fight, even Jay had a sword. When they got down there, it was a sad sight. People were strewn across the floor. Then, the shifter turned toward a group of younger kids. "No!" Jay yelled, as he threw himself in front of it. You turned away, expecting the shifter to charge right over him. Then something unexpected happens. You here a startled cry, and when you turn around, you see why. Jay was full skeleton, literally. When you looked at the shifter, you saw Pepper standing on top of it, a bloody sword in his hand. For a moment, everyone was looking back to forth, from Jay in his skeleton form, to Pepper with his bloody sword. After about 3 minutes, Jay's skin slowly brew back. One person started clapping, and then everyone followed. A couple people even cheered! They carried Jay and Pepper up the stairs, and dropped them off at their room. After that, Sam came, and being one of the counselors, gave them their own room. Sam told you that you should go rest. When you fell into your bed, you murmured, "I'll congratulate him in the morning."
