Finding Answers

The man told you that his name was Sam. Sam told you what Imperials were. "Imperials are protectors of the Earth. That shifter that found you, have you ever seen any others?" "No." You replied. You still didn't get it. Why hadn't your parents told you? Another loud bang dragged you back to reality. Except, this one didn't come from the kitchen, it came from outside. "Quick, follow me." Sam said. We ran to the Attic. "Wait!" You said. "What?" Asked Sam. "The attic is not sturdy! We'll fall through the floor!" You said, panicking. "Crap." You heard Sam say. "Where else could we go?" Jay asked. "Can you two swim?" Sam asked. "Um..yeah." You answered. "Yep!" Jay said. "Alright follow me then!" Sam raced out the door with you and Jay right behind him. The shifter roared and dashed right after. As soon as the three reached the lake, Sam shouted, "JUMP!" You threw yourself into the lake. First impact, the whole right side of your body. Second impact, head. Then you passed out. You woke up in a small room. You were laying on what looked like a stretcher made from... Leaves? Your first thought was, where am I? Just then, you noticed Jay in another stretcher next to yours. "Jay? Are you awake?" "Yeah" he replied drowsily. "Do you know where we are?" You asked. "You're at the tree." You looked up. You saw Sam leaning against the door frame. "Well, I'm just going out on a branch here, but thanks." Jay said. You snickered. "Well I'm glad you approve of his jokes, miss..... Hey I never caught your name." "Trixan." You told him. "K, miss Trixan. Would you like to see your rooms?"
