The next morning, you woke up and got dressed. You looked at yourself in the mirror. Your loose blonde hair was shoulder length, and your blue eyes sparkled. You put on your clothes. After that, you put on your black jacket. You went to the cafeteria and got a banana. "Hey." Says a voice from behind you. It was Phoenix. "Hey." You replied. "So, um, doing anything later?" He asks nervously. "Well, I have classes from 10 to 12, but after that I'm free." "That's cool." "Yeah......" You reply. "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to, well, you know. Have lunch?" He asked you. A light blush dusted your cheeks. "Sure." You replied. "Great!" He said. He morphed, and flew away carelessly, small flames following him. 12 didn't come soon enough. Every minute seemed like an hour. When it finally came, you shoved your silver dagger into its case, and ran down to the cafeteria. Phoenix was already at the table. You sat down next to him. "Hi." He said. "So, where is everyone else?" You ask. "Well, we found something. Another morph!" He said. "Another one? What's their morph?" You asked. "Well, we found him up north. His morph is a golden retriever. He said his name before was Caleb, but we're calling him G.R." he explained. "Wait, all of you had names before?" "Well, yeah. I was Richen, Owl was Madeline, Wolf was Jess, Monkey was Ally, and Pug was Ether." He replied. "So, why don't you use your real names?" You asked. "Well........ I don't really know. Wolf just said it would be easier that way." He said. You looked straight at him. He was wearing a leather jacket and jeans. "Trixan....." He started, but before he finished, you gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. Just then, Jay happened to come in. When he saw you kissing Phoenix, his arm went skeleton again. When you looked at his eyes, you saw that they were burning with fury. Just then, someone came from a round the corner. Wolf! She quickly went behind Jay and whispered something in his ear. Eventually, Phoenix recovered from the shock. "I-I have to go." He stammered. He morphed and flew away. "What were you thinking?!?!" Jay asked, clearly outraged. "Jay! Calm down." Wolf told him. Slowly, the skin on his arm reappeared. After he calmed down, you realized the desperate look in his eyes. His gaze was distant, watching nothing, pretending it was something. "Trixan, why?" He asked softly. "Jay, you're a good friend, but, I don't love you. I like Phoenix." You replied, matching his soft tone. "But you barely know him!" Jay protested, sounding desperate. "I know, but I love him."
