Marinette stared out her window as drops of rain hit the glass. "I don't know...what if he's busy? I don't wanna interrupt him!"

Alya rolled her eyes. "Girl, the only way to get Adrian to go out with you is to call him up and talk to him!"

"But isn't that his job? To ask me out, I mean."

"How's he supposed to ask you out if he doesn't even know you like him?"

Marinette sighed, then gasped as her purse tumbled off the desk, hitting the chair before slipping down to the floor with a thud. "Oh no! I hope that didn't break my phone!"

She was actually more concerned about Tikki, her kwami who'd been sleeping in her purse. Probably wasn't asleep anymore after falling on her head.

She opened her purse, and Tikki poked her head out. "Sorry Tikki, I-"

"Something's wrong, Marinette." Tikki interrupted.

"What kind of wrong?"
Her attention was caught by a loud thud as something ran into the window, making her jump and Alya scream. "What was that? A bird?"

Alya opened the window, jumping back as whatever it was tumbled off the window sill and onto the bed.

Marinette came over and examined the shape.
It wasn't a bird, but looked more like a tiny black cat with an oversized head compared to the rest of it's body... It looked like another kwami!
"The poor thing...!" She carefully scooped it up in her hands, feeling it tremble as it shivered, soaked by the rain outside.

"What is it?" Alya asked.

"Marinette!?" Marinette's mom called from below. "You girls okay? I heard screams."

"Y-Yeah, Mom!" Marinette called back. "A pigeon just flew into the window and startled us."

"Y-Yeah!" Alya replied.

"Alright then. Just wanted to make sure."

As Mrs. Dupain-Cheng left, Alya repeated her question in a quieter tone as Marinette cradled the creature. "What is it...?"

Marinette cringed. She'd never told anyone about her identity as Ladybug, not even Alya. Now it looked like she'd have to tell her.
She stroked the kwami's head with a finger, then turned back to her purse. "Tikki, it's another kwami." She hissed.

"A what?" Alya gasped as Tikki shot out of the purse and hovered over Marinette's cupped hands. "What is that!?"

"Alya, this is Tikki." Marinette introduced. "She's a magical creature and a friend."

"Girl, you've got a lot of explaining to do."

"I know...I would've told you before, but I wasn't supposed to tell anyone!...I'm Ladybug."

Alya stared for a moment, then stepped back. "I've been stalking my best friend this whole time!? I'm a terrible reporter...!"

"You're an excellent reporter, Alya!" Tikki replied. "We're just good at keeping secrets!"

"It talks."

Marinette grinned. "Yes, she talks."

Tikki hovered closer to the other kwami. "This is Plagg, Chat Noir's kwami. I was right. Something's seriously wrong if Plagg is split up from his holder but not in the ring."

"Uh...what?"

"If a holder gives up their powers and removes their miraculous willingly, then the kwami returns to the miraculous.
But if it's removed against their will, then the kwami stays out of the miraculous." Tikki explained.

"So Chat must still have his ring...but then how did Plagg get here?"

Plagg coughed, his eyes opening a little. "Nnn...!"

"Plagg!" Tikki got closer. "You okay? What happened?"

"Hawkmoth...He...Got Chat Noir...!"

Marinette gasped, and wanted to know more, but the black kwami had passed out again. "Chat's been kidnapped...!"

"What do we do?" Alya asked.

"...I don't know."
