Adrian wasn't sure what to do. He was hiding under his bed, rubbing his ring nervously.

He was certain that Plagg would be safe, but what about him? He couldn't escape so easily.
He hated thinking about why he was hiding... His father was a supervillain.

For two years, his father had been hiding a dark secret, and sending out akumas that harmed innocent people, turning them into what they never should have been.

And Adrian hadn't known until now.
"He lied to me...He's been lying all this time! What else could he be lying about!?" He stiffened. "...Did mom really leave, or is she locked up in a closet somewhere...!?"

He froze as there was a knock on the door. "Adrian?" His father's voice called. "Adrian, open the door!"

There was a few moment's pause, then the door opened and his father stepped into the room. Mr. Agreste shuffled around as he looked for him, then after a few minutes, quickly hurried back out.

Adrian waited a few moments, the only sound being the ticking of the clock, then he quickly scrambled out from under the bed.
He grabbed his bag, packing anything that was absolutely necessary, then headed for the window.

Even without Plagg, he was confident that he could slide down the pipe on the side of the house and escape like he had before.

But then his room went dark as something blocked out the sun through the windows...

...thousands of akumas.

He fell backwards at the sight, then gasped as his father stepped into his view. "Y-You...!"

"Trying to avoid your responsibilities, Adrian?" His father asked, raising an eyebrow as Adrian rolled out of his reach. "You seem tense."

"Tense...!? I'm way past tense, father!"

Mr. Agreste stepped in front of the door, blocking Adrian's only other escape route. "...Where is he...?"

Adrian got into a fighting stance. "Where's yours...!?"
Adrian gasped as his father moved with an unexpected speed, grabbing him by the wrists and pinning him against the wall.

"Don't change the subject, Adrian! I know he's here somewhere...!"

"No, he's not...!" Adrian growled, trying to get loose. "I sent him away. He could be anywhere in the city by now!"

"I know you know where he is! Don't lie to me!"

"Like you've been!? You're just as guilty of lying as me!"

Mr. Agreste growled with frustration, knocking Adrian onto the floor, but still standing over him. "Do you realize how important that kwami is!?"

"He's my friend! I'm not gonna let you use him like you just use your kwami!"
He scrambled to his feet and tried to get to the door, but his father grabbed him by his shoulder and hit a particular pressure point that caused Adrian to collapse. "N-No...!"

"My apologies, Adrian... But you're grounded."

Adrian whimpered, but gave a look of anger and defiance towards his father before darkness overwhelmed his senses.

"Marinette, what are we doing?" Alya asked. "Why are we going to an old guy's place?"

"He's only one-hundred eighty-six...!" Tikki mumbled.

Marinette cradled Plagg in her palm, the little kwami occasionally giving whimpers as he shivered.
She opened the door, peering in. "S-Sir?" She whispered. "Is now a bad time...?"

"Not at all..." Master Fu motioned for them to enter. "I sensed something was wrong and had a feeling you'd come by, Marinette."

"He knows?" Alya asked.

Marinette nodded, then sat down and laid Plagg down in front of her. "This is our problem. He showed up saying Chat Noir was captured by Hawkmoth."

"Hmm..." Master Fu stroked his goatee. "That is a cause for concern."

"Do you think you can help him?" Alya asked. "We need to find out all we can."

Master Fu nodded. "Of course. Feel free to look around, but don't get into anything, Miss Césaire."

"You know my name?"

"He knows lots of things." Tikki replied. "He is the Great Guardian."

"Tikki?" Wayzz poked out of the record player, then gasped. "Tikki! Plagg!"

"How many of you are there!?" Alya asked as Wayzz and Tikki embraced each other.

"Many." Wayzz replied. "Seven of us have been together for ages. Plagg, Tikki, Nooroo and I all belong to someone, but the other three are...dormant."

"There are kwami all over the world." Tikki continued. "Helping to keep people safe and with their own masters."

Marinette sighed. "I hope we find Chat quickly... I think he's in real trouble."
