a great loss at alpha base

It started wile me and the rest of my team were asleep. We herd heavy gunfire coming from the outside. My team and I jumped up got to our defensive positions and waited for what felt like hours but it was most likely a few minutes.

Everyone was shooting at the whole in the wall of the base keeping what ever was trying to get in at bay.

We slowly made our way up towards the breaching point. This was when the worst possible thing happened. An explosion blew the team and I back about 20ft everything was hazy but I clearly saw sarge standing over me with shrapnel all throughout his body.

SARGE!!!!! I started shoot blindly in the dust from the explosion pull back pull back ! I yelled as Zack and reagen pulled sarge to safety.

I ran back to where sarge was I knew when I first saw him he wasn't going to make it. 3 days latter sarge died from his wounds. Moral hasn't been this low in a wile. This base was the safest place anyone could be but now it's go a huge fucking hole in the wall that's going to take a few days to fix.

The next day we were sent out to clear an area a small town. We started building to building floor to floor. Shooting very enemy we came across. But then we got surrounded by the enemy and no amount of training could prepare me for what I was about to see.
