Chapter 20

SHANNONS POV

I got to Bri's house and knocked on the door. When she opened the door, i set my suitcase down by the door and we just hugged. It seemed like hours, but it has only been 5 minutes. "I'm gonna miss you. Besides Meghan, you're the only girl here that i could relate too." I laughed a bit, and let go. Tears were escaping my eye, so i wiped them off. "i know.. I wish i could stay.. " "I know, you have no choice.." 

In the middle of our conversation, Lynda, Bri's mom, came walking downstairs. "You guys ready?" She said. I nodded, wiping more tears. I grab my suitcase, we walk outside. I hear crying, and i look over to see Mikey with tears coming down his face. "Mikey..." I say crying so much, most of my make-up was coming off. "Shannon, why do you have to live with your aunt? Why can't you stay here?" He says inbetween sobs. "I already asked.. My aunt said it's not happening.. Im so sorry." I say crying more. "Don't be sorry." He says engulfing me into a big hug. We were both crying into each others shoulders. 

I broke the hug by saying "But i really should be going, i can't be late to my flight, and i still have to say goodbye to everyone else." I go to walk away and i hear "wait!" I turn around and he says "Can i just have one last kiss.. goodbye?" That made me cry.. a lot.. I kiss him for as long as i could, and we break apart i whisper "goodbye Mikey..." 

We all pile into the car and i say goodbye to everyone thats on the way.

We get to the airport. I can't believe i have to leave New Jersey. I've been here since birth. I'm leaving everyone that i love. 

Since Bri couldn't follow me through security, i turn to her and say "Well, i guess this is goodbye.. I don't know when we'll get to see each other again." She didn't say anything, we just hugged. "I'm gonna miss you.." She says to me. We break the hug, and we both wipe away the tears. "I'm gonna miss you too." I say to her. I go to Lynda and say "Thank you, for everything." "Awe, it was no big deal." Then she hugged me. 

After we allsaid goodbyes, i grabbed my suitcases, and started to walk to security. (I don't know how this all goes down, so bare with me. I've never been on a plane in my lfie.) I place my bags on the conveier belt, and stand to the side to have the security guy scan me for anything. 

When i walk to the other side, i retrieve my bags, and sit down in the waiting area, waiting to be boarded. I hate going on a plane alone. I always worry about who i'm gonna be seated next to. Usually, i'm always stuck with some bad, old people, that annoy me so much. They always talk about how i shouldn't be on a plane alone, and how i'm so cute, and how all the boys are gonna be chasing after me. 

My thoughts were interrupted when the loud speaker came on and said "Flight 206 to New York City, now boarding."  I picked my bags and my heart was racing a mile a minute. This happens every time i go on a plane alone. 

I had the lady my ticket, and start to board the plane. I find out that i have a middle seat. Which never turns out well. I grab my phone and headphones out of my carry-on, and place on in my ear trying to drown out what was going on around me. As more people board the plane, i close my eyes. But i re-open them because i feel someone trying to get to the window seat, and i regret opening them, because someones ass was in my face. I take the earbud out of my ear, and try to make room for the what looked like a bimbo. He had obviously spray-tanned skin, and blonde long hair. She looked like a clown with all the make-up on. 

She sat down, chewing her gum obnoxiously. "I can't believe you." She says, and I don't know who she's talking to, but i realize once an amazingly attractive boy sits down next to me. "It wasn't a big deal." He says sitting down. "Whatever, i'm not talking to you for the rest of the plane ride." She says to him, and puts ear buds in.
