Chapter 3

Ladybug was perched on top of the Eiffel Tower, still in tears from the earlier incident, Adrien had broken her heart, whether he meant to or not. Chat called to her from beneath, and she slowly scaled down from her spot to greet him.
"M'lady, may I ask why you're in tears?" Chat asked, worried and angry at what, or who, had caused his lady such pain.
"I'm afraid it's a broken heart Chat. But, I'll get over it with time, okay?" Ladybug tried to grin, but failed because she only looked even more pathetic.
"Who was so inconsiderate as to hurt you of all people, tell me and I'll make them hurt worse!" Chat shouted, but a pang of guilt had struck him. He knew that the person who had broken Ladybug's heart must feel guilty like he felt now.
"It was a boy from my school, Adrien Agreste." Ladybug began to cry even harder, and Chat's jaw dropped to the floor. It was him all along, he was the one causing both of her identities trouble, and he hated himself for it. When Ladybug collapsed in his arms the guilt he held in his heart was even more unbearable, he was a monster and worse than any akuma they had ever battled.
