Mia's pov-

Nash was still there was I hugged hope. I can tell she felt drained. After I got done hugging her Nash came over and hugged her. I seen her smile and hug back. She was smiling so much while he was hugging her. He whispered something to her and then they stopped hugging. He say down on her bed and started walking to us. We hung out until 5 then we left. Nash went home and I walked home.

I got home and my dad was laying on the couch. He seen me walk in and stood up.

"Where were you!?" He asked getting mad
"A-at scho-ool" I studdered.
"Why didn't you tell me!?" He said getting closer to my face.
"I-I was going to be late" I responded.

I felt a sting in my cheek.

He slapped me.

"Now here we go again. Why didn't you tell me?!" He said mad.

"I TOLD YOU I WAS GOING TO BE LATE!!" I yelled.

He slapped me and pushed me.

I fell back and hit the stairs. I got up and ran up in my room. I closed my door and locked it. I opened my window and went onto the roof.

I sat there for a while. Thinking. Planning. I heard someone banging on my bed room window. I quickly stood up and slid off. I hit the tree that is near my window and I hit the floor. I heard someone scream my name and then everything went black.

Hope's pov-

I went to nash's house and hung out for a while then left. I had a weird feeling in my stomach to go see Mia. I went to her house and her dad answered.

"Hello?" He said.
"Hi, I'm hope!" I said smiling.
"Who are you here for?!" He said with an attitude. Man he must be on his man period.
"Mia. Is she home?" I asked. He rolled his eyes and let me in. As I was walking up the stairs I fell and landed on her door. I heard footsteps above me as I stood up then heard the tree she has outside her window. I heard a boom before running downstairs. I ran outside and seen Mia laying on the floor.

"MIA!" I screamed and ran over to her. Her dad came out and seen her laying there. He walked inside the house and locked the door.

"ARENT YOU GOING TO HELP YOUR DAUGHTER!" I screamed pulling out my phone to call for help.

I was breathing heavy and trying to get Mia up off of the ground. I realized her face was red?

"What happened.." I whispered to myself. I heard sirens going off and I looked up and it was the ambulance. They came over and took her from my arms. The cops wanted to talk to me and her father as they took her to the hospital.

"Hello are you hope may?" The officer asked.
"Yes." I said crossing my arms.
"Okay. We just want to ask you some questions. At most 10 at least 5 then we will take you to the hospital." He said. I nodded.
"Did you see hee fall?" He said pulling out a note pad. I shook my heard no and he wrote it down.
"When did you get here?" He asked.
"About a half hour ago." I said. He write more down.
"Someone said they heard you screaming at her father. Were you?" He asked.
"Yes I was" I said.
"May I ask why?" He said after writing more down.
"Well she fell and I ran out the door. He seen me. Followed me. Seen her. Ran in the house and locked the door." His eyes widened. "I'll be back!" He said and walked to another officer and started talking to him.

I looked at her father and gave him a dirty look. His eyes widened. I rolled my eyes and looked away. I seen the officer walking back over to me.

"Sorry about that ma'am. We have 2 more questions for you and we will take you" he said. I nodded.

"Did you see any marks on her?" He asked. I was thinking. She always wore makeup if she did. "N- yes! When she fell and I was holding her I seen a red mark on her cheek." I said.

His eyes widened. "Have you ever seen her father do things to her? Like hit her?" He asked. "No but when she would be late for school on her cheeks and things she would wear more makeup then normal and would sometimes hold her back and complain it would hurt. Are you saying you think her dad h-hi-hits her?" I said and asked

"Would you like to go to the hospital now?" He asked. I nodded and seen her father being hand cuffed. I gulped about the thought of her father doing something like that.
