The School Spies

Two

When Rose and I turned around we saw the last person we expected to see.

"Emily!!" We both shout. Well not shout we are in the hallway, but you get the idea. Anyway, Emily comes running up to us and we all huh since Emily left school yesterday to go to her mom's friend's wedding. So I haven't seen her until now.

"Emily, Did you just now get here or were you in your last class?" I ask her.

"I just now got here." she replies. "Hey bookworm, how many books did you read yesterday?" she asks me.

"2," I mumble.

"Wow, NERD ALERT!" she says sticking her tongue out. I know she is just messing around, she does that a lot.

"Well, we better get to class before we get a tardy," Rose says.

"Good Point! Bye Rose," I say as me and Emily head to our class. Emily and I both have History but Ross has Gym.

When class is over I walk out with Emily after I make my way past a group of girls who call me fat.

"Just ignore them. They aren't worth it,' Emily tells me as we walk away.

"I know, Anyways I have to tell you something about a girl in my Gym class." I start telling Emily everything I noticed about the really fast girl in my class. "Rose kept saying that she was just really good at running and I have nothing to worry about, but I don't know. What do you think?" I ask Emily.

"I don't know really. You could end up being right and the girl might have a secret about herself or Rose might end up being right and there is nothing to worry about," Emily explains to me. I know she is right, there is a 50/50 chance, but I will still pay more attention to that girl I saw. As we are walking to out lockers again we meet up with Rose and start talking about our plans for the Summer.

"Summer is just 3 weeks away you know," I say because Emily doesn't have any plans yet.

"I know, I know," Emily replies as we get closer to our next class. While we are talking I notice a group of girls walking towards us.

"Oh no!" I think as they get closer.

"What do you think your doing loser!?" says the head of the group Alyssa.

"Umm, walking to class? The same thing as you?" Emily answers.

"DO.NOT.TALK.TO.ME! Since when can you talk to me!" Alyssa almost shouts.

"Since we've had the freedom of speech and don't ask us a question if you don't want an answer," Rose says as her calm self as usual.

"Hello? I thought she just said don't talk to her," Jen, one of Alyssa's followers, say.

"Yes, and also to be exact I wasn't talking to you so get your big nose out of other people's business!" Alyssa snaps at Rose.

"Umm, to be exact don't talk to my friends that way you priss," I say mimicking Alyssa's voice almost perfectly. WOW I actually said that!!! I stood up for myself AND my friends! Rose and Emily are giving my shocked looks and looks that are saying "What.Have.You.Done!"

Once I see their faces I realize exactly what I've done. I say in my head, " I'm dead now!"
