I take a deep breath before I open the door. When I open the door and step inside I see a man in a black jacket sitting at the kitchen table with my mom.

"Hey sweetie, could you sit down with us for a minute?" My mom asks when she realizes I walked in. Right as my mom says that the man turns around and I recognize him as....

"Lynch?! What are you doing here???" I ask clearly surprised.

"Oh, I was just having a nice conversation with you mother about what happened today and the consequences," He replies calmly like he wasn't the head agent of a secret spy group or anything.

"You two know each other?" My mom asks. "How?"

"Oh I came by her school before and helped her out with something," Lynch replies before I even have a chance to answer.

"Oh okay," My mom says clearly not falling for it. "Anyways, Marianna. What were you thinking, knocking an innocent girl out in the middle of the hallway at school?!"

"INNOCENT?!" I say followed by a snort. "All she has ever done is bully me mom. She taunts me and follows me around the school making fun of me. She never leaves me alone and sometimes even messes with my friends. She deserved what she got, and I have no regrets except not doing it sooner."

"Why have you never told me? I could have put a stop to it and force never would have been needed." Mom says in her, I'm an adult it always works, way.

"Actually, if I told you and you went to the school to do something they would talk to Alyssa who will then find out I told and hurt me even more. So telling you would have made everything worse." I explain.

"Force still was not needed young lady," She says angry now.

"Sorry mom, I'll try not to do it again." I apologized.

"Sorry to interrupt, but you are not expelled from school Marianne like you thought you were, nor suspended." Lynch announces.

"You might not be expelled but you are grounded Marianne. No going outside after school and I'm taking your laptop away for a week." Mom snapped.

"Okay..." I mumble.

"Well, I'm going to leave now, See you tomorrow Marianne." Lynch says winking at me and then walking out. When he leaves my mom gets my laptop and goes to her room and I head to my room. I guess, now that I think about it, I'm kind of lucky because I still have my phone. I start texting Eric and Zoe in the group chat they made. (Eric, Zoe, and Marianne, so you know who's texting)

Just got yelled at by my mom and Lynch was at my house when I got home

Really? What did he say???

He got me off the hook for getting suspended from school

Great! We can start your training tomorrow.

I'm still grounded though, that's were my mom yelling at me comes in. Surprisingly I got to keep my phone. Bet it was Lynch who convinced her to let me keep it.

Guess we will have to do it during school then

But won't she get in trouble??? Isn't that why we are in this mess right now? Because she got in trouble???

Marianne needs her training. Lynch was already telling us we have a tough mission coming up soon so Marianne needs to be ready.

I get another message on my phone from besides them two. I click on the message and see it's from the group chat with me, Rose, and Emily. ( Rose and Emily, so you know who's who... Marianne is the same as before)

Yeah, you ran off from school and never texted us, we were starting to get worried

I'm fine, it was just a bad stomach ache, and the call was from my mom's friend telling me mom wouldn't be home but she would.
