Jay ran through the streets. He was so excited! Today was his summoning day. If Jay could summon a spirit animal then he could be able to help his parents out. Not that he didn't help them now but still, just summoning a spirit animal any could be a change in his life. He looked back to his parents "Come on let's goooo!" He said. Okay maybe drinking an entire 12 pack of soda that morning was a bad idea but if Jay was amped up in the morning then it also ment that something big was going to happen! Jay took as a sign that he was going to summon a spirit animal.
He arrived at the ceremony a few minutes late, one kid hadn't summoned a spirit animal and the second kid was already going up. Jay sat down next to the first kid. The second kid took a sip and waited.... nothing happened. Jay noticed the kid had looked down embarrassed. He assumed that the kid came from a family of rich people or a family with spirit animals themselves. Jay heard his name being called and he cooled his nerves. Someone in crowd called to Jay about being so relaxed than normal. He got the nectar and sipped it. A surge of energy rushed through him. He didn't hear it when someone told him to move, from the clear blue sky a bolt of lighting had struck him. Suddenly everyone stopped, a gaint panda lumbered up to Jay. His face broke it a smile, he let out a yelp of joy and hugged the panda "I summoned a spirit animal!" He shouted.
Someone walked up to him, "You summoned the great beast, Jhi," the old man said. Jay's smile grew wider.
