Unexpected yet Meant to be

Chapter 2

Alex's POV

Was it just me or was Nikki about to cry when she left?

"Did i say something wrong?" I asked Racielle

She just looked at me with pained eyes and followed after Nikki.

What did I do? I promised myself I will never let a girl cry. Leave alone Nikki. She was the most precious girl I've been taking care of oh so carefully. But I feel as if it was my fault I saw her cry like that. Its better for her to smile. She's way more prettier when she does. Whenever I see her down.. I want to make her smile so badly I dont care if I had to look stupid as long as she smiles. Looking back, I've always admired her smiles. From the shy Nikki to the crazy and fun girl I call my little sister now.

The first time I saw her was on a Sunday youth fellowship. She was a new youth. Youngest actually. I approached her and befriended her...

"Hey I was wondering maybe you and I could hang out?" she asked

My heart skipped a beat. She was my crush at first sight. But she's 8 years younger what am I thinking. I smiled at her offer and asked her where and when. She thought I was going to decline maybe thats why she braced herself and practiced the line "It's fine, I understand" in her head and got really surprised when I actually agreed to go with her. She was the cutest thing ever. I wanted to treat her. At first she declined but I got to make her agree to me in the end.

The Youth program started and we had our little Bible study and fellowship. We got to know about Nikki and Racielle, our newest and youngest fellow youth. They seemed nice but there's something about Nikki that made me feel like I have this duty to protect her and make her smile. Something's telling me I have to be beside her. Like ALL THE TIME. Always be there for her.I wanted to know her more. I wanted to.. wait. ALEXANDER BLEU what are you thinking about? She's 8 years younger than you for goodness sake. Are you insane? She might get creeped out and stay away from me. No. I dont want that to happen... FORGET THIS CRAP ALEX. I should better forget about it.

After the program we had our free time and we decided to play truth or dare.

"LETS GO WITH THE NEWBIES FIRST!" We all cheered.

"That's.. no.. no fair.." Nikki said shyly

"Weird ice breakers. You should ease us 'newbies' first to break the ice" Racielle said.

They said they were bestfriends.But we can clearly see that Nikki's a shy type and Racielle is a confident one. Both personalities are just admirable. 

"Then what do you suggest, Racielle?" John said from behind. He was our Youth president

"I dunno. What do you think Nikki?" 

"I think truth or dare isn't such a bad idea.."

"Whatever you say little one." Racielle said as she messed up Nikki's hair.

Well one thing is for sure. They are close.

We all had fun in our mini game of truth or dare and we all knew more about Racielle and Nikki.

Racielle liked 1D and food (even though it wasnt evident cause she was so thin!)

Nikki likes seafood, anime&manga, Parachute, He is We and Taylor Swift. She likes hellokitty as well. Her favorite colors are combination of black, baby pink & skyblue. She's the eldest in her family and she's the only girl among her siblings. Her birthday's on October 25. A day before mine. That's just awesome! And-

Wait... Im pretty sure Racielle said more than what Nikki said, but how come I dont remember anything about Racielle but memorized everything Nikki shared to us? Oh damn. I payed too much attention to her.
