Chapter Two
Alison's POV
Draco, Narcissa, and I have been living in the Malfoy Manor since after the battle of Hogwarts.
Lucius was sentenced to the Dementor's kiss, leaving Draco: fatherless and Narcissa: widowed.
The only Death Waters that weren't sentenced to death were Draco and I. Luckily, Harry persuaded the Ministry of Magic from sentencing us to our death.
"Good afternoon, Alison." Narcissa smiled, civilly.
"Hello Narcissa." I grinned.
"How was your meeting with Mirvana?" The blonde haired woman.
"Fine, she offered us jobs as professors." I said with a smirk.
"That's marvelous!" Narcissa exclaimed.
"Draco was offered the position for Defence Against the Dark Arts-"
"And you were offered the position for Potions, correct?" Narcissa asked.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" I asked.
"Draco always complained about how you were always getting the higher marks." Narcissa said sweetly.
"I'm worried about Draco." I said, completely changing the topic.
"As long as i can remember, every Defence teacher has d-died, gotten k-killed, gone completely bonkers, or was sacked." I stuttered.
"Did someone say Draco Malfoy?" Draco asked teasingly.
"No, you nosey git." I snapped jokingly.
"Hurtful." he laughed while putting his hand up to his chest in mock-hurt.
Draco walked over to me, in full sight of his mother, and kissed me.
Not just a peck, a full on, "I need you" kiss.
"I'll be going now." Narcissa said awkwardly while she started to walk away.
I pulled away roughly from Draco.
"Sorry!" I called out to the closing door, before glaring at my husband.
"That was rude, Draco! You can't just start snogging your wife infront of you newly widowed mum!" I hissed quietly in case Narcissa was listening.
"But you were standing there, looking so damn sexy that I just couldn't resist." he smirked.
"Draco," I sighed, walking out of the kitchen while Draco followed me.
"Stop trying to get yourself out of this." I snapped, stopping, turning towards him.
"Is it working?" he asked before disappearing.
"No..." I murmured while searching for my husband while walking down the hallway.
*CRACK*
"I think it is." Draco whispered, his breath tickling my neck.
Draco turned me around so I was facing him.
"Am I still in trouble?" he asked.
"Yes." I answered-uncertain of his next actions.
Then he gently placed his lips on mine and our lips synchronised together, then I suddenly felt sick.
"Am I in trouble still?" Draco asked, smirking.
Then I ran into the ,surprising convenient, bathroom and found myself getting sick over the toilet.
"Alice!" Draco gasped while he held my hair away from face.
"What the hell happened!?" Draco asked while I still stared into the U-Bend.
I lifted my head to look in to Draco's worried, grey eyes.
"I think I just... Need to sleep." I said.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yeah, I was awake half the night. I think I'm just tired." I lied easily.
Draco opened his mouth, about to protest, but then closed it and helped me into our room.
I honestly didn't know what was wrong with me... I felt fine... And It wasn't because I kissed Draco.
I am thoroughly confused now.
A week passed, everything was the same old thing... Including the usual visitations to the U-bend early in the mornings.
Today, we're going to go set our classrooms and our room at Hogwarts.
Returning to our school, the place where we met so long ago.
The place where my parents met.
Where my adoptive father worked.
Where I grew up for the last three years.
Where I fell in love with my brother's archenemy.
Speaking of brothers.... Isn't Harry-
"Ready to go?" Draco asked, quite cheerfully, peeking his head through the door.
"Ready." I replied, grabbing on to my trunk and stepping out the door.
"Here, let me take that for you." Draco said, reaching for my trunk.
"I can carry my own, you know?" I snapped.
"Of course, I only thought you'd want some help." he answered defensibly.
"Merlin, I'm sorry, Draco." I sighed while I pulled into my arms.
"Alice, are you okay?" Draco asked.
"Yeah, I feel absolutely great." I grinned.
"Ummm... Okay?" he said while studying me.
"Shouldn't you two be at Hogwarts already?" Narcissa asked.
"Actually, yes." Draco replied.
"I'll see you off, but first, Draco, may I speak to you alone?" Narcissa asked.
"Sure." Draco answered uncertainly.
My mother-in-law walked into the study with her son and my husband.
I decided to take advantage of their meeting to go and bring our trunks down to the entrance.
After I got our trunks down I walked back upstairs and grabbed Salazar and Freckles.
"-makes you think that?" I heard Draco ask harshly.
"Well, she has been-"
"I don't care! If she is then, that's... That's great. I don't know if I'm ready for that..." Draco said quieter.
I stood there, dumbfounded... Quite confused at what they were talking about.
Then freckles hooted, bringing me back to reality.
"Right, let's take you downstairs." I said to the owls while walking back down the stairs.
