Chapter Twelve

Lunch was cheerful; I sat next to Draco, as always...

The second years were fine... I went through the same drill with them as I did for the previous classes.

Lecture, questions, and five inches of parchment about themselves.

Now I'm on my way to my room to go do whatever the hell I want...

"Troll!" several students screamed.

"What?" I asked, grabbing the student who screamed.

"T-there's a.. A troll!" she cried.

"Again? Really? Go tell the other teachers." I ordered.

"Troll in the dungeon!!' she yelled, running up the magical, moving stairs.

Hopefully Draco was in his classroom, not our room.

Then an owl flew onto my arm, but not just any owl... Draco's eagle owl..

"Alice,

Meet me in our room once you escape from your classroom.

Forever yours,

Draco Malfoy"

I had to smile at the way he addressed the letter.

"Forever yours, Draco Malfoy"

It reminded me of when I left Hogwarts and we'd used to write to each other all the time. (read Author's note at the end for details) We even used to see each other.... That was only after Snape became my dad.

"Mrs. Malfoy!" a student yelled, pulling me out of my trance.

"Oh, right... Troll..." I muttered.

"Yes... But no... Mr. Malfoy is over in your private chambers." the boy said hurriedly.

"Are you kidding? Merlin, go to the great hall and stay safe." I ordered.

The boy took no time it running off towards the moving stairs.

"Crap." I said quietly before running to where my room was, keeping an eye out for the troll and commanding students to go to the Hall.

I ran to the door, said the password, and ran in breathing heavily.

"A little rushed, are we, love?" Draco laughed quietly while looking up from a book he had previously been reading.

"Theres a bloody troll out there." I said anxiously.

"Again? Really?" Draco cursed.

"Thats what I said." I said dully.

"Come on, let's go and find where it went." he replied... A lot braver than most Slytherins would be in this situation..

"Go get your wand." I said quickly.

"I have my wand." he said smirking.

"No," I said, holding back a small laugh.

"Your wooden wand." I grinned.

"What, you don't think I can charm a troll with my wand?" Draco chuckled.

"Draco, we've got to go... There are kids on trouble!" I rushed, trying to pull him out the door..

"Right, you're not going." Draco said firmly.

"Why can't I go?" I whined.

"I'm not going to risk you or our kid getting hurt." he snapped.
