Your Point Of View

"Hope you don't mind about seeing my folks" I looked at Selena who held on to Niko as we were driving to my parents' house.

"I don't mind. Its been a while since I've seen them, how are they?" she asks me.

"My dad still running the old farm and taking care of all the animals."

"And your mom?"

I stayed quiet for a moment before clearing my throat "she's okay."

A few minutes go by and we finally arrive to my parents' house where outside my dad was putting away the water hose away.

We get out of the car which caught my dad's attention.

"Y/N, you're here." he goes to me, giving me a hug then notices Selena and Niko "Well well someone's back"

"Hi Mr Y/L/N." Selena waves at him.

"Welcome back" he looks at her then looks at Niko "And who is this little one?"

"This is Niko." she introduces.

My dad looked at Niko for a moment, making Niko laugh a little and smile while my dad was making silly faces at him.

"Quite a fella." my dad looks at me "You know he kinda looks like you when you smile."

I shrug "Where's mom?"

Selena's Point Of View

After Y/N was done talking to her dad, she went inside the house to see her mom.

Leaving me and Niko alone with her dad

"Mind if I let little Niko see the animals?"

"Sure." I hand Niko to her dad. Niko looks at me then back at Y/N's dad. "He loves goats by the way."

"Just like my Y/N." The dad chuckles as he carried Niko to see the animals.

I followed Y/N's dad and Niko to the animals and watched them. Y/N's dad placed Niko down by some little animals and I watched.

Niko crawled towards a little goat and petted its head making me smile

"Let's get you on this fella." Y/N's dad said as he scooped Niko up and placed him on a small pony. Niko was amazed that he literally pulled on the pony's main.

"No no Niko." I said but Y/N's dad held his hand up shaking his head.

"Now little guy, you don't wanna hurt the pony so put your hands here." He said to Niko which made me honestly think that Niko understood him.

"Now this little pony's name is Xavier. He can be yours if you want, you get to pet him whenever you want." He said and Niko smiled widely at him at the mention of his name. I chuckled at his reaction.

Your Point Of View

I kissed my mom's forehead as she slept after talking for a few minutes.

I go outside to see Selena watching Niko bond with my dad and get along with the animals. I walk and got next to her.

I watched Selena lean over the deck and stare at her son lovingly.

I wrapped my arms around Selena's waist and placed my chin on her shoulder, shocking her.

"Hey." I pecked her cheek softly and she looked over her shoulder with a smile. I ran a hand through her bangs. "I missed your bangs."

"I know, so did I." She admitted and I rubbed her cheek.

"Wanna go for a ride?" I asked and she nodded. "C'mon, we can take my horse. My dad will watch Niko." She nodded and followed me to the stables.

Once we walked in, my horse, Bruno neighed at us. I walked over to him and patted him neck while I saddled him up. Soon after, I retrieved two cowboy hats.

"For you my lady." I handed one to Selena and she giggled at me, putting it on.

We both got on Bruno and I clicked my tongue as we were off. After a few minutes, we got to the trail and got off. I tied Bruno's reins to the fence and held Selena's hand as we walked.

"I didn't see your mom by the way." Selena spoke and I sighed as I stopped walking.

"My mother....is sick." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "She has been for a while."

Selena gasped quietly and wrapped her arms around me quickly.

"I'm so sorry." She whispered and I tried so hard to not break down into tears. "How sick is she?"

"T-ter...." I paused to take a deep breath. "Terminal Cancer." She pulled me closer and I buried my face in her shoulder.

"Shhhhh. Its okay, let it out." She whispered while rubbing my back and I did. I broke down into tears and cried everything out. I've been holding it in for so long.

And I wasn't just talking about my mother dying.

I was talking about Selena too.

"I can't lose her " I sniffled "I want her around when you know I get married a-and " I broke down again only for Selena to hold me close.

"Shhh everything's going to be okay." she kisses my head.

"I promised her something." I mumbled.

"What did you promise her?" she asks me as she rubbed the back of my head.

"I promised her a grand baby. Before she dies." I admitted

As soon as I said that, Selena stayed quiet and stops rubbing the back of my head.

After a moment of silence, she finally says something.

"Y/N, there's something I have to tell you."

I pull away from her to look at her "What is it?"

"Do you remember when we first made love?" she asks while looking in to my eyes.

"How could I forget. It was our first time and we were crazy in love." I looked at her

"Two days after we made love, I found out something and I was going to tell you b- but then they told me you died in a fire accident. "She starts to tear up but quickly wipes her eyes.

I give her a small hug "Don't worry about that. I'm here now I'm not going no where."

"Y/N, Niko is your son."
