Chapter 8: Downfalls

Frisk Pov

I tackled Sans into the water luckily i'm faster swimmer than Sans so I surfaced quicker, once I reached the top I swam further upstream. Then it began, the scratching at my mind was Chara ready to emerge. I tried but I couldn't stop him.

My body changes and adjusts to Chara's liking, red irises, and a manic grin. I hear Sans approaching fast but once he gets a good distance he slows down, he's suspicious of the way i'm acting. " Hey kiddo you all right? We can leave if you're not feeling okay." His voice becomes unsure, my eyes are probably crossed from how fast Chara whipped around.

" Hey there comedian, having fun on your date with Frisk?" I mentally facepalm myself, nice going Chara. Standing his ground Sans ignores the question and cuts straight to the point, " What do you want Chara? Don't you have anything better else to do?" he suppresses his anger.

Laughter erupts from the bottom of my stomach, it feels forced. Chara swims for the top of the waterfall and stands very close to the edge, and once Sans catches up Chara takes a few steps back almost losing balance.

Sans Pov

(A/n : first in chapter perspective change )

As Chara almost loses balance I feel fear of what could happen to Frisk if she fell, I inched closer so that if they did fall i'd have a chance to catch them. Of course with my luck Chara noticed and began grinning even harder than before which really gives off the energy of psycho murderer. Chara jumped off the edge of the waterfall, i'm just going to assume Chara subbed in Frisk because of the death curdling scream that erupted from her as she fell. I jumped after them attempting to catch them, when I grasped the screaming girl I teleported to my room.

We fall smack into the floor with a thud, and I am still holding a screaming Frisk. "Kiddo chill out, you're not falling anymore we're back home." I say running my fingers through her hair, she quiets down but is still clutching onto me. Judging by undertime i'd say its about five o'clock meaning Pap is out training with Undyne, that gives me sometime to figure out what happened back there.

I carry her downstairs to the couch and set her down, "what happened back at the waterfall?"
