The wind in my face felt awesome. The hot breeze and the cold wind, making my hair go in all directions, was the best sensation ever.
The plane had finally landed and we did the check out and we were now located in the main entrance waiting for the principal to pick us up.
"Gosh, I'm so hungry!" Hailey squealed behind me, looking inside her purse for food. "Me too." Ashley and Sam said in unison. "Don't worry, I don't think we will have to wait any longer." Logan said pointing to a car that was coming toward us.
It stopped in front of us and two people came out of it. One, I assumed by the way he was dressed , was the principal. And the other one was a boy maybe my age or a little older and looked in a way like the principal. Maybe , he was his son...
"Hello students." The older man greeted once he was close enough. "My name is Mr. Grace. I'm your principal. Welcome to California! Did you have a good flight?"
"Eh... Yeah. Sure. We did" we all agreed.
"I'm glad," He grabbed the boy's arm "Here, this is my son Will."
Told you, ha! Oh shut up Layla
"If you need anything, you can talk to him or talk to me." Mr. Grace smiled. He looked like a nice man. Will just nodded. "So, come on in. Let’s go to the school."
The principal took our luggage and we sat in the car. In the inside it was amazingly big ,enough for 20 people, so we fit perfectly.
Mr. Grace finished with our bags, hopped to the right seat and then we took off.
——
The ride was quiet. Everyone was staring at the roads we were passing through. I guess I wasn't the only nervous person in here.
Suddenly I heard Ashley gasp and I saw what she was seeing:
Our new school.
It was pretty big, painted some places in light blue and other places painted in dark blue. At the entrance, there were some stairs, surrounded by green grass and plants, and next to them a sign that read: PCA boarding school in golden letters.
"Woah, it´s huge..." Sam said in a whisper and I couldn't agree more with her.
Then the car parked and we got out. The hot breeze again hitting my face and my hair. You could hear the ocean from here.
"Welcome to PCA!" Mr. Grace cheered and from the corner of my eye I could see Will rolling his eyes. I smiled to myself. Maybe Mr. Grace did that with all the new students.
We took our luggage and went to the main office for our keys of our dorms. I was so excited!
"Hello students," a woman behind the receiver said. "Names please."
Hailey was the first one. "Hailey Evans."
"Room 202 , here are your keys. Next!"
Hailey moved and Ashley came. "Ashley White."
"Room 204, here are your keys. Next!"
"Samantha Waters." "Room 204, your keys. Next!"
"Layla Shafer." "Room..."
Please let it be a good one, PLEASE, PLEASE!
"Room 202, your keys. Next!"
I sighed in relief. The 4 of us weren’t together but I was with Hailey and Sam and Ashley were together and just 2 rooms away from us. We will have a new roommate and I really wished she was a normal teen-age girl like us with no special things or like a diva.
