I couldn't believe it.
It was her. Her .
The girl I always dreamed, or thought, or even wrote about!
It was her... Did she know me? The look on her face was confusing... Maybe she fell on the ground too hard and she didn't recognize me.
But why should she? Maybe she has never seen me before... Maybe I was another stranger for her. But she was definitely not a stranger to me...
But was that really the girl. Did she really exist?
Good thing I ran away when I saw the boy approaching to her. I wouldn't have been able to talk to her.

Entering the gym, the smell of new basketball and tennis balls hit my nose.
I really liked that smell. It brought back a lot of memories.
"I really want to see the lists! Do you think we will get in to the team?" Hailey asked with that nervous tone in her voice. She needed to calm down and start believing in herself.
"I don't know, but I hope we did..." Ashley said before having two hands covering her eyes. She let out a small shriek. "Umm, okay whoever you are let me tell you that I'm NOT good at this game. At all." I let out a giggle when I saw Jesse smiling brightly at Ashley's head. They looked so cute, and it was obvious that he liked Ashley.
"Ah, come on Ashley! Try to guess..." Jesse said making his voice a little bit higher so Ashley couldn't recognize him. "Come on Ash!" "It's really obvious who's behind there!" Hailey and Sam said. As we approached to the wall where all the lists were held, I decided to walk faster and leave them behind. I really wanted to see the lists and if we were in. And if we were, in which team we would be?
I walked faster and while I was walking, almost running, I felt hands surrounding my waist. I turned violently around and saw it was only Josh, smirking at me. "God, you scared the hell out of me!" I said a little bit too loud, getting some stares. But, hey! I was scared..."Oops! Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Josh said taking his hands to his pockets. "Sure you didn't...” I said punching him in the arm. He smiled and I smiled back.
"Ready for the results?" He asked. "Yeah, I want to see if I got in." "Oh don’t worry!" he put an arm around my shoulders. "You'll get it. You are a very good player! You'll make it, I'm sure." "Thanks" I said. Josh was really a good friend.
We were now face to face to the list. I took a deep breath and leaned forward.

That was it. No more names, no more players. I didn't make it.
"Hey," Josh said softly "Are you okay? What’s wrong?" "I didn't make it. I didn't got in..." I said whispering that I thought Josh didn't hear me. Suddenly two arms wrapped me in to a hug and I looked up to see it was Josh. "Hey, don't worry. Are you sure you checked correctly? Maybe you didn't." Josh walked towards the list and after a few minutes he returned, with a big smile.
