Rick's POV

I dragged myself out of bed sadly, checking on the clock that flashed 3am. I took a deep breath, bracing myself for what I had to do. I just couldn't handle the stress anymore, it was getting too hard. I noticed Gina was struggling as well, so this was for the best.

I opened the door slowly, noticing Gina wasn't in bed beside me. I shrugged it off, walking quietly to the twins room, hoping not to wake Beau who was just next door.

I stepped inside, seeing my 2 boys sleeping peacefully in their seperate cots, Jaidon's thumb in his mouth, and Luke's body tangled in the small blanket. I took a shaky breath, instead of leaning forward I leant back. I couldn't do this, they were 2 for gods sakes.

But there's still Beau..

I stepped slowly into the 4 year olds room, his piercing green eyes so alike to mine open, and staring right at me. "Water you doing daddy?" He said nervously, my heart dropping at what I was going to do. "We're going on a holiday Beau." I said sadly, his eyes widening.

"Weally?!" He said excitingly, jumping out of bed and grabbing his bag, dragging it across the room. "Where?!" "London." He shook his head. "I dunno where dat is." I chuckled, picking him up and carrying him out of his room, all the way to the loungeroom. "Where the queen lives." He giggled, nodding, probably still not knowing where it was. Bless him.

"Rick?" I felt my throat close up. I turned around and saw Gina behind me, Jaidon and Luke at her side, holding their shaky bodies upright. "What are you doing?" I felt my temper rising suddenly, me quickly loosing it. "What's it to you!" I snapped, taking Beau's hand firmly and dragging him across the room.

He wimpered, suddenly beginning to cry, making my hand jerk back. "Beau i'm sorry-" "Don't touch him!" Gina hissed, grabbing her son and carefully pulling him away from me. "What do you think you're doing Rick?!"

I reached out for Beau again, but he just ran to the corner of the room, fear in his eyes. "I'm helping you Gina, i'm leaving." Her eyes widened. "And you tried to take one of our boys with you!" She shouted, her face going red. One thing I have learnt, is that you never, under any circumstances, NEVER try and get between a mother and her child.

I put my hands up in defence, slowly backing off. I can't believe i'm about to do this. "I'm sorry." I said to her, her face softening. "Wha-" Without another word, I lunged forward and grabbed Luke, snatching the keys and running to the door, Gina following me, crying out for me to stop.

Luke was weirdly asleep in my arms, his small body firmly supported in my hold. I carefully strapped Luke in, Gina catching up to me, crawling into the car to try and get her son.

I easily picked her light frame up, her hitting me and cursing at me. I dropped her on the ground by the stairs, and ran back to the car, quickly starting the engine and backing out of the driveway.

Before I sped off I took one last look at my now broken family.

Gina was on the grass, crying, holding her back from where I dropped her. I noticed at the door Jai and Beau standing there watching, Jai looking as confused as ever, but Beau was different.

He wasn't looking at me with love and admiration, or how sons should look at their fathers, no, he was looking at me, with pure hatred and fire in his eyes. Jesus, for a 4 year old he was intimidating.

I took a deep breath, before speeding off down the road, Luke still fast asleep in the back, not even knowing where he would wake up, or what the future had in store for him. Hell, even I didn't know, but deep down I had a bad feeling about it, a very bad feeling.
