The New Teammate

Chapter 8

Shana's Pov:
It was time to show off my powers and I was nervous. What if they think I'm a freak or weird or dangerous. Guess we will find out now. We have reached the training room and they all say down on the bench. I walked to the center of the room and stretched out my wings full length. I look over at everyone and notice them staring in awe at my wings. Then with one powerful flap of my wings I am lifted up in the air. I start doing arial tricks and slicing things with my wings to show how sharp they truly are. Then I summon a white and gold fire ball and shoot at the targets perfectly. Then I do some tricks on a trapeze I didn't know they had and everyone was looking at me in awe except Robin who had a surprised face then it changed back to emotionless. I then use my manipulation to pick up things and create images in their minds. "Ok now I need y'all to get behind something Unbreakable" I said in their minds" "ok and you can create mind links too!!!!" M'gann squealed and I answered "yes and I can lift things with my mind and I have a six sense now are y'all behind something Unbreakable" "yes Shana we are" Aqualad said. I took that as the signal to go and I let out my most powerful power, my angel's scream. When I used it everything shattered even the Unbreakable thing they were hiding behind but luckily no one was affected. When I was done I feel to the ground breathing heavily because of the amount of energy I used. "Shana!!!! Are you ok" Robin said as I fell to the ground and I just nodded not being able to talk. I tried to get back up but I just feel to the ground. "No your not you can't even stand" Kid Flash said and then Superboy said "what was that" "that *pants* was my *pants* Angel's Scream" I answered through pants and Superboy picked me up and brought me to my room and I took off my outfit and laid down and went to sleep trying to get my energy back. When I woke back up I was back to normal so I got changed but decided not to wear my armor and I walked down the hall and noticed that my wings now drag behind me. I reached the lounge room and saw the people I met when I was civilian instead of the mini league. "how did you get in here" I yelled at them and they said "Shana its us" and they each showed me their powers and Robin showed me his belt and Artemis showed me her bow. "on that makes sense now" I said and walked to the kitchen and started making food.

Artemis's pov:

We watched Shana walk to the kitchen area and we all followed curious to what she was doing. She had an IPod and hit play and House of Gold by Twenty One Pilots came on. She took out some ingredients form the cabinet and started humming to the song then she started singing while mixing and then soon she was singing and dancing her way around the kitchen. We were all surprised at this not only is she baking something that smelled really good but she is an AMAZING singer! Then the song changed to Gone Too Soon by Simple Plan and Robin disappeared and reappeared in the kitchen with Shana. "need any help" he asked and she nodded her head and said "yeah that would be great can you make the cupcakes". Then the two of them were singing and dancing around the kitchen and I was astonished they are in perfect harmony.

Robin's pov:

The song changed and I noticed sadness in her eyes so I went into the kitchen and asked if she needed help she then replied "yeah that would be great can you make the cupcakes" while nodding. Soon it was just us too singing and dancing to anything that came on in harmony. We were a well oiled machine. I completely forgot about the team and just focused on baking with Shana. I don't think I have ever had more fun in my life.

Megan's pov:

Wow just wow, I watched as they worked in perfect harmony dancing and singing in the kitchen. The smells coming from the kitchen were amazing but not as amazing as the people cooking them. Maybe sometime she will help me cook. She looks so relaxed and at ease with Robin. She wasn't wearing any armor or carrying any weapons. She looked genuinely happy and relaxed. They were both happy and singing and dancing. I don't think I have ever seen Robin so happy.

Shana's Pov:

I have never had more fun then in the kitchen with Robin. We are just singing and dancing in the kitchen not caring about any care. I feel relaxed and actually happy for once and I owe it all to Robin. When everything was done baking we took it out of the oven and cleaned up but I incidentally hit Robin with flour so he threw flour on me and now we have an even bigger mess to cleanup. Me and Robin were covered in flour by the time we finished cleaning up. So I set up a link with him and said "why don't we give the team a hug" and he nodded and I counted in our heads "1,2..........3" and we ran up to them and gave them a big hug which resulted in them getting covered in flour. Soon we all got cleaned up and decided to watch movies all day. I have never seen an American movie before so I got excited.

Kid Flash's pov:

I notice Rob and Shana covered in flour nodding at each other and I can't help but think what are they planning. Then suddenly we are all tackled in a hug by the flour covered people. So that's what their plan was. That is...........Briliant! Everyone is now cleaned up and we are going to watch movies and I think Shana is a little too excited to watch movies. Everyone met up in the lounge and sat down "what movie should we watch" I asked and everyone shouted out a different answer. Rob wanted Avengers, M'gann wanted inside out, Superboy wanted Scream 4, Atemis wanted Finding Nemo, and I wanted Zoom.Everybody wanted to watch something except for Shana so I turned to her and said "what do you want to watch" she shrugged and M'gann spoke up "what's your favorite movie" "I don't have one I have never seen an American movie before" she answered and that was when we decided to watch the first movie off all our favorite series. We sat and watched movies for hours and hours with Shana, Rob, and me on the couch, Kalder on the chair, and M'gann and Superboy on the floor. Shana had brought out the sweets she made and we ate those while we watched movies. It is now 11:00 and we had watched Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and we just finished Captain America. We looked over at Shana and saw she fell asleep on Rob.
