"We have to finish this mission report, Bruce will kill us if we don't."
"But I'm tired!"
"And I'm not?!"
Dick and Barbara glared at each other. They had basically been doing paperwork for the past 3 and a half hours straight. Barbara added a sentance to the page.
"We're done. Finally."
Dick took a deep breath. "Sorry if I've had a bad temper."
"No harm done Pixie Boots." Barbara smiled warmly at him and ran a hand through her red mop of hair. "I was a bit snappy too."
"I guess it's time for me to go back to Blüdhaven." Dick stood up but Barbara grabbed his hand.
"Stay."
"What?"
"Just stay here one night, you know you can't resist the idea of an homemade Alfred Pennyworth breakfast."
"I guess your right."
"I'm always right Boy Blunder."
"I know."
Dick scooped uped Barbara and held her bridal style.
"What on earth are you doing, Short Pants?"
"Carrying you."
"No, really? I had no idea!"
"Your so cute when your sarcastic."
Dick opened the door to the media room and placed Barbara on the huge couch.
"You do know my bed is not in the media room, right?"
"Don't worry Babs I have a plan." Dick kissed Barbara's forhead. "I'll be right back."
Dick left the room and returned a few minuntes with a huge, fuzzy blanket. He placed it next to Babs and left the room again.
"He goes from 'about to leave' to 'romantic gesture' and a second." She numbered under her breath.
This time, when Dick returned, he was holding two steaming cups of something. Dick sat down, wrapped the blanket around himself and Barbara, and handed her a Nightwing mug. (His was a Batgirl mug) Barbara took a sip of the brown liquid.
"This is good hot chocolate."
"Thanks."
She moved slightly so she could look at Dick.
"You are such a dork. No matter how Nightwing-ey you get, you will always be the dorky boy wonder," Barbara layed her head on Dick's shoulder, "It's one of the many reasons I love you."
This made Dick's face light up with a smile.
"I love you, Babs."
"I love you, Dick." Then wrapped in a snuggly blanket and filled with hot chocolate, our dynamite duo fell asleep.
