~Kellin's POV~
I thought about the mall we were at not too long ago. That was the last time I saw him. That was so close, he almost saw me. God, I cannot handle his gaze. His eyes.. They are so beautiful. Every time I see his hair, all I want to do is run my fingers through it. And his body. Goodness, he is so beautifully built, I would kill for him to hold me in his arms. He is the most handsome men I have EVER seen.

"Kellin..!" I heard someone yell.

My face flushed red and I darted my gaze over to my group of friends, 'Y-Yeah..?" My blush darkened, my voice having risen about three octaves. Barb looked at me with a wide smirk, which was never a good thing.

"Jc again, Kell?~" She asked, her devious expression evident.

I looked away, pushing her away as I mumbled, "Whatever.."

They really know how to tease me. Giggles erupted throughout my group of friends, all of them except Cassie. I turned to her, trying to change the subject.

"So, Cas, hoping to meet anyone or find someone cute?~ I mean, I could always help~"

She just shook her head, mumbled a "Thanks" and kept looking out the window like she had been the entire ride.

I hoped she wasn't thinking about either of her douchebag ex's. I hated them both for what they did to her. There's the jerk, Sam, and the cheater, Cameron. Sam only dated her because of a stupid bet made by Kian and Jc. Which was totally harmless, but Sam didn't have to go along with it and string her along like he did. Cameron "accidentally" cheated on her with his ex girlfriend in the apartment Cassie and him shared. God, they are both douchebags.

Anyway, we're on our way to a ball. I'm not sure how or why, but we were invited to a huge rich people party. As exciting as it is, I still don't understand how we managed an invitation. Though, I never asked either.

I sighed and leaned back. We all looked great in their gowns and my tux, but.. I wasn't sure if I could manage the entire night. I can only smile for so long before they start nipping in the back of my brain. My demons were ruthless; Social anxiety, some forms of depression, etc.. They always held me back. I try so hard.. I keep my smile up like I promised him I would.. But..

"Kellin..?"

I looked over to see a familiar shy smile. I returned the smile and nodded, "Yeah, Brooklyn?"

She looked absolutely gorgeous. She wore a stunning turquoise gown and her mask complimented it nicely.

Her smile widened slightly. Her smile helped the turquoise bring out her pretty blue(hazel?) eyes.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked.

I looked out the window and, sure enough, we were there. I glanced back at her and smiled warmly. Well, as warm as I could muster, and nodded. I could tell she was nervous. I would know, I am too.

I got out and offered my hand to Brooklynn, helping her out of the car and catching up with our group as we walked inside.

I prayed he wouldn't be here. At least, maybe he wouldn't see me.

~Kian's POV~
I paced, fixing my bow tie every few seconds.

"Kian, calm down, man."

I bit my bottom lip, stopping to look at my best friend with a slightly crooked smile.

"Dude, what if I step on her feet?"

Jc laughed, walking over and patting my back. Basic bro hug.

"You won't. I promise."

"Cassie told me her dress was red. What if I got the shade wrong?"

Jc gave me a look, shook his head, and walked over towards the door. I quickly followed after him as we both headed to meet the guys. I say guys, but I mean Sam.

"Easy for you to say..! I'm, like, the only one that has to match my date..!"

Since my girlfriend, Barbara, was wearing red, I had to sport red as my accent. Luckily for Jc and the other guys we hang with from the basketball team, they don't have to match anyone. Jc looked good in a tux. His happened to be black and white with a black bow tie. Mine wasn't much different, except I had a red bow tie.

See, I am not the most formal person, so when it came to these kind of things, I was a wreck. Neither is Barb, but I bet she isn't having a big deal worrying about it.

Jc laughed again as he and I walked down the stairs, "Dude, she's going to think you are smoking no matter what 'shade' you are wearing..!"

He wasn't wrong. Before we started dating, I found out she watched basically ALL of not only my, but Jc and I's videos. As much as she has watched me, I watch her all the more.

That came out wrong.

Jc and I met up with Sam outside and we all got in our car. We started heading to the ball.

I hope Barb will match me.

And I am praying I do not, under any circumstances, step on her feet.
