I waited till I was sure Chat had gone to transform. "Tiki! Spots On!" And with that I was gone.
Chat POV
Ladybug still hadn't shown up yet so I decided to just stall for her. Luckily, Volphina is a really slow purrson. We've been running around The Seine furr like twenty minutes and she still hasn't claw-t on.
I took a break by the riverside. Volph did as well. "Finally...give...up...huh?" She said in between breaths.
"It's not like we're even getting anywhere. I'm just giving you a break. You're still a human being after all." I said to her while mindlessly flicking my bell. "Not by much though." I whispurred to myself.
"What was that?" She asked.
I thought of a quick lie. "Oh I said 'missed my lunch though.'" She gave me a weird look and shook her head.
"Whatever...I'm only in this for love." This cat is so gullible! My plan is in motion. Ladybug doesn't stand a chance. She thinks to herself.
I sighed and got up off the ground. "Well I'd like to stay and Chat, but I should go find M'Lady. Cya!" I didn't wait to hear her response.
Ladybug POV
When I finally found where the battle was going down, It was too late. Volphina ran off and I was left to a horrifying scene. Right in front of me was my kitty lying in a pool of blood. I rushed over to him, dropping to my knees. "Oh God. Why!? CHAT! DON'T GO! I-I need you..." I buried my face in his deflated chest, letting out endless sobs. I should have been there! It should have been me. "Stupid cat...I Lo-"
"M'Lady?"
I looked up through tearful eyes to see a black figure hovering over me. "W-who a-are y-you?" I asked shakily.
"It's me, Chat. The furreal Chat." The figure said.
That voice! Those puns! It can't be...can it?
"K-kitty? Is that really-"
Volphina landed in front of us and began shouting. "YOU IDIOT! YOU'VE RUINED MY PLANS!"
The faux Chat Noir dissipated into thin air. I quickly crushed the real one in my arms. "I was so scared that you had left me."
He kissed the top of my head and stroked my hair. "It's okay. I'm here now bugaboo."
"EXCUSE ME!!" The steaming angry villain broke us apart. I flew into a cafe window and Chat crashed into a parked car, setting off the alarm. "Well that was easy. Honestly, I thought you guys would be more fun." She yawned and walked over Chat. "Here kitty kitty~ Give your master the Miraculous~."
"N-never." He coughed and struggled to his feet. "Over my dead body."
"Only if you insist." She laughed and grabbed him up by the throat. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Hahahahaha!"
Forgetting about my own injuries I ran over and kicked Volphina in the stomach and grabbed Chat. "Come on, we have to heal before we face her again." I told him.
"Not so fast LittleBug." I turned to see Volphina holding two akumas in her palms. My eyes widened in horror. "Fly away my Butterflies!"
"Run!" I shouted to my partner. Bad idea. He collapsed onto the ground and this time actual blood began to leak out from his chest. "That's it. That's the final straw." I snapped my head back to Volphina. "Miraculous Light!"
Then everything went white.
