Marinette POV

Chat brought me to a secluded place away from the city. To say it was beautiful was an understatement. All kinds of flowers covered the earth and Sakura trees surrounded the entire garden area. In the middle was a pond coated in pink blossom petals. We sat on the edge of the water. It was......indescribably amazing.

"My family owns this place. I like to come here to escape life, you know?" He said.

I nodded and laid back on the ground to get a better view of the stars. "The stars all look like balls of light to me. I wonder what it'll be like when it all fades away?"

Chat laid down too with his head nuzzled into my neck. "Can we just worry about it when the time comes? I want to fill your mind with good memories. Like right now." He stood up and pulled me with him. "Follow me princess. There's something I want us to do before..." His voiced trailed off and his eyes began to tear up.

I held his face in my hands and gently kissed his forehead. "It's okay kitty."

He smiled and started walking me towards one of the larger sakura trees. As we got closer, I could make out carvings on the tree. They appeared to be names. We finally stood in front of it. "Mari?"

"Yes Chat?"

He took my hands in his. "So much has happened today. First I saved you. Next we were fangirled over." I laughed at that part. "Then.......we kissed. And finally I fell for you. I think....no....I know I love you Marinette.

I this point my face was as red as Tomatoe Childs hair. (Sorry couldn't resist.) I also realized what the carvings were.

Oh.

"You left out me going blind though." I frowned.

"I only stated the things that mattered. Marinette Dupain-Cheng? Will you be mine and only mine?" He asked.

I blanked out for a moment to process everything. Is he........is he asking me to be his girlfriend!? That's so romantic! But wait.....do I love him back? Well duh. Of course I love this silly kitty!

"Yes!"

His eyes widened and he pulled a pocket knife out of his suit. "Here you go Mari! We can write out initials right....uh....here!"

He pointed to a middle section on the tree and handed me the knife.
