Amy and Rory waited their turn to show off their skills to appear desirable to the Capitol. Rory had spoken to Katniss before he went.

"Remember, sometimes the Capitol citizens, especially the ones running the show, are stupid. They will pay no attention to you. You have to make them watch! I had to shoot an arrow at an apple in a pig's mouth to gain the attention I deserved! Do something spontaneous and you and Amy will get it good."

Rory did as he was told, forgetting to tell Amy. But Amy didn't need the reminder. She walked in and said her name and her district and took a moment to decide what she was going

to do.

Amy took one of the spears, missing by at least three feet. Her aim was dreadful. A few of the game makers laughed and continued on eating. Amy tried again desperate for attention. She got close to the target this time. Nothing.

"Oy! You lot! Yeah you there!" Amy yelled at them. "Yeah, I'm talking to you. I don't see anybody but me, you, and those idjits behind ya!"

Some of the other game makers had looked up now.

"Apparently, the Capitol doesn't believe in giving a damn! I got it pretty close to the target, clearly a fatal shot, and you didn't bat a single bloody eye. How the hell did you get this job?!"

Amy walked out with rage.

"What happened in there?" Rory asked.

"Nothing dear," she smiled,"Knock 'em dead."

"Literally." She mumbled to herself, and walked away.

Rory stepped in, quite a bit nervous. He still hasn't decided what he was going to do.

"Hi." Rory said, "Um, I'm Rory Williams, and I'm from, uhh, District 12."

The game makers waited for Rory to do something, He walked around a bit, and took one of the knives. He studied, and practiced some of the throwing motions. His imagination drifted off, forgetting people were waiting on him. He looked up, a little embarrassed. He took the knife prepared to throw it. He pulled it back and launched it. It stuck in the dummy's head. The game makers were a little impressed.

"Good job, Roy. We weren't expecting much from you."

"Thanks, I think." Rory said, "And it's Rory.

He walked out, a little angered that the game makers failed to remember his name.
