Knockout x Cyclone

Chapter 16: Her first birthday! (Cyclone's pov) (Part 1)

I was on my data pad, helping Knockout patch up Steve. He'd gotten hurt because my father wasn't in the best mood. I thought femmes were bad with emotions...Primus. I continued to log him into the system when I heard soft giggling. I looked up and looked over at Knockout. It wasn't him. He looked at me with the same confusion. Then it hit my processor. It was our daughter's birthday! We promised to bring Toni back to the Autobot base so she could spend some time with family. I smiled and placed the data pad down on the table.

"Are you almost done?" I asked.

"I'm just a few minutes away, why?" Knockout replied.

"It's our daughter's birthday...we promised to take her to the Autobot base" I commented.

Steve sat up and looked at us. He didn't smile but, I could tell Knockout fixed him. I smiled at him and put my servo out to him.

"How are you feeling now Steve?" I asked.

"Way better, thanks you two" he said.

He pushed my servo away and he walked out of the medbay. Knockout placed his tools down and sighed softly. He rubbed his optics and looked over at me. I looked back and giggled.

"What's that look for?" I asked.

"I hate him..." He muttered.

I giggled and hugged him softly. He hugged me back and we heard the soft giggling again. The medbay doors opened and the giggling was louder. Our daughter had learned to walk at only 7 months! So, she was running away from someone.

"Come back here!" That mech yelled.

It was Shockwave. Ever since Breakdown passed, we've had Shockwave around to help us. He was keeping an optics on Toni for us so we could take care of Steve. I smiled and pulled away from Knockout.

"Mama!" Toni screamed, giggling,

"No screaming Toni, Uncle Megatron is sleeping" I replied.

Toni stopped running and she was holding something. It looked to be an arm but, who's was it?

"Um, what does she have?" Knockout asked.

"Breakdown's servo" Shockwave replied.

I screamed in disgust and Toni held it close. When we looked closer at her expression, we could tell she was upset. We told her everything about Breakdown. Ever since then, she gets upset every time his name is spoken.

"T-Toni...g-give Shockwave the servo" Knockout spoke unsteadily.

"No! I miss Uncle Breakdown...!" Toni argued.

"Now, young lady!" I demanded.

Toni's optics welded up with tears and she dropped the servo. Shockwave grabbed it quickly and Toni ran out. Me and Knockout chased after her and I grabbed her. I wiped her tears away and tried to calm her down.

"Guess what" I said.

"What?" She sniffled.

"We're going to see grandpa an the others!" Knockout said, trying to be enthusiastic.

Toni stopped sniffling and a smile came on her face. She loved the others so much. Especially Bumblebee and Smokescreen.

"Let's go!" She said happily.

We nodded and entered the ground bridge. When we got on the other side, Ratchet walked over to us.

"Welcome back" he greeted.

"Thanks" I said.

I set Toni down and she smiled at Ratchet. She lifted her arms up, wanting to be picked up by him. He did and hugged her.

"Hello young one, it's good to see you" he said.

::HAPPY BIRTHDAY!:: someone beeped excitedly.

Bee ran over and instantly aimed his servos towards Toni. We could tell he really wanted her. She smiled and reached out to him. Ratchet allowed her to go over to Bee and walked away. Bee held her close, the. Spun her on a circle, making beeps and whirs as he did.

"Silly Uncle Bumblebee" Toni giggled.

"Careful Bee...she just ate" Knockout warned.

::Eh, I'll be fine!:: Bee beeped, slowly coming to a stop.

Toni was giggling and clapping her servos together. She was a very smart sparkling. Me and Knockout were really surprised when she started talking at 8 months. Smokescreen drove in and transformed into his robot mode.

"Hey, I was out getting her a birthday gift..." He said.

"I'm guessing, Jack had to go in to get it" I said.

"No kidding!" Jack stated.

It was a big box and I wondered what was in there. I hoped someone got her something to cuddle so she wasn't constantly going for Breakdown's servo. Everyone then arrived and we all gathered around to see her open her presents. She stared at them for a bit, not knowing what to do.

"What I do?" She asked softly.

"You open them!" Miko exclaimed.

"How?" Toni asked.

I giggled and walked over and sat on my knees next to her. I opened some of the wrapping paper for her and she understood the gist. She started opening it and the present was a new blanket. She smiled and cuddled it and started sucking her thumb. I sighed and pulled her thumb out of her mouth. She then started opening another gift and it was a big teddy bear. She looked around and smiled at Smokescreen. He smiled back at her and I knew that the bear was his gift. Thank Primus. Anyway, she opened the rest of her presents and she had a lot of new toys. We had a bit of energon cake and then, it was time to celebrate with the Decepticons.

::Can she stay a bit longer!? Please!?:: Bee begged.

"I'm sorry Bee, she has to celebrate with the cons as well..." I sighed.

I had Toni in my arms and she had her teddy best and blanket close to her. Her helm was resting on my shoulder as I spoke to Bee. Knockout was carrying the other gifts and Ratchet was preparing the ground bridge. My father walked over and he bent down a bit to look at Toni. She looked back at him and a smile formed on her lips.

"Hi grandpa..." She muttered.

"Hello Toni, did you have fun?" He asked.

"Yeah...I had a lot of fun..." She mumbled softly.

I giggled and looked at my father with a smile. He smiled back and hugged us both. The ground bridge opened and we waved to the Autobots and walked through. Now, it was time to celebrate her birthday with the cons.
