"What was all that about!?" I yelled once inside marks house. Gary had to get off somewhere early so because I had got there with Gary I ended up in a car with mark. We had decided To go around to his house. "What? This?" He said getting pulling our faces together gently. I pushed him away. "Yes, that. What are the lads going to think?" I took off my coat and chucked it on a chair near the front door then followed Mark into the Living room. He sat down, Spreading his arms Across the back. "Let them think whatever they want. I saw how you lost your breath anyway." He looked me right in the eye and slightly smiled. I walked out of the room and into the kitchen "that was out of pure shock!" I yelled into the living room. "Aren't you a lovely host? I should of gone to robs at least he offers a drink!"
"That's not true Vick and you know that!" He paused for a minute, I could hear him messing about in the other room. "Well if you want a beer. You know where the fridge is. If you want a cuppa. The kettle is right next to the fridge. Come on V you're always here and if you're not here I'm at yours so you're hardly know as a guest"
I laughed at his comment. I was in a good mood so I decided on the beer, I quickly went and opened the top and then went back to the living room. Being a single man in a large house, he kept it very clean. The living room was very large but so homely, two sofas placed opposite each other were covered in throws and soft pillows, a TV in the corner. A window sit again full of pillows and throws. The walls were painted a soft beige colour however is not as minimalistic because it was covered in photos of family and friends. There was a gorgeous fire that Mark had just started burning and on the mantle piece there was a picture of Mark and I, we were both dressed up, it was from our reunion get together. There was another photo opposite of all of us; Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and I. There was one person missing though. Rob. A sad smile crept on my face. I was glad he was doing this album with us but I'm so scared of losing him. I felt so privileged to be up there with just him and I where as Rob isn't even in one. He is in others. Just not the mantlepiece. I put my drink on the coffee table placed in the middle of the two sofas and sat next to mark, putting my feet onto his lap. We sat in a comfortable silence just watching the fire. "I'm sorry." He finally Said.
"For what?" I asked. Placing my feet on the floor And looking him straight in the eye.
"For what happened in the studio. I shouldn't of done it."
"It's okay." I said leaning my head onto his shoulder.
"Seriously? You were pissed."
"I wasn't. Just scared"
"Of what?" He whispered, putting a finger underneath my chin and bringing it closer to his face.
"This." I replied.
"And what is 'this' exactly"
I honestly don't know. One minute we're friends the next we end up in these moments. It's something you expect from teenagers. Not adults. Before I could answer him there was a knock on the door. I started to stand up but he dragged me back down. "Leave it." He said gently. I nodded. The knocks went on for a little while and then stopped. Mark sighed in relief and inched closer to me. Obviously whoever was out there doesn't get the hint and starts hammering at the door. I stood up again and so did mark. He wrapped an arm around my waist "what's that for?" I whispered inching to the door with him "protection." he smiled smugly. Mark opened the door carefully. You'd of thought he'd be worried about papz. Obviously this estate really is that private. "Fuck, mark answer the door next time I was worried s- oh sorry I didn't notice you had a 'guest' " it was Jason. He smirked over at us and looked down to wear marks arm was hooked securely around my waist. Mark unwraps it and puts its arms up in defence "what if you were an axe murderer? It was protection!"
Jason just rolled his eyes.
"Ugh do you want anything?" Mark asked clearly annoyed.
"Well I left my guitar here and I need it back" Jason replied. Mark nodded and went upstairs in search of the guitar. "So, when?" Jason asked me following me into the living room.
"When what?"
He just smirked at me until I understood. I huffed in annoyance "we're just friends!" I threw my arms up in frustration. Why does everyone care anywhere. "So you'd let me do what he did to you earlier?"
"No! I mean- no I wouldn't. I wouldn't let him do it if I knew it was coming its not my fault that-"
"We all saw you catch your breath."
I blushed insanely. "Jay, what do I do? I feel like a school child playing kiss chase with a good friend." I whispered. He was only upstairs and I was still worried about him hearing us.
"It's not. That's a game Victoria, he's not playing a game. He's serious. Don't be scared." Jason replied he looks over and mark was in the doorframe hold up a white acoustic guitar. "That's gorgeous" I said to Jason. "What the guitar or the man holding it?" He replied. Instantly Mark and I blushed. "Go on get out." Mark said laughing slightly giving the guitar to him. "Well bye love birds!" He giggles and walks through the door "we're not 5!" Mark exclaimed. Then shuts the door. As soon as its shut he pushes me against it, holding my arms up about my head. "How much did you hear?" I asked. He must of been lingering. "Aw V don't worry just be more confident. Don't be scared." He smiled as i blushed more a deeper shade of scarlet. So, I kissed him. Passionately. He immediately replied and our tongues were fighting for dominance. He was eager so his grip softened a little and I took my chance to push him backwards into another wall. I pulled back. "You want confidence?" I asked. He nodded. His little quiff danced around as he did. I slowly backed away. "You'd have to wait and see won't you now baby?" I smirked opening the front door and walking out.
