"Emma Jane, can I please talk to you?" Kate called through the door. EJ got up and opened the door. Her sister was wearing the same outfit she was yesterday, she had bags under her eyes and her hair was slightly messy.
"Whoa, what happened to you?"
"I didn't go home. I was at the house late, talking with everyone. You left thing there quite a mess, but I don't blame you for leaving. May I come in?"
"Um, Nat isn't wearing clothes...."
"As long as she is wearing underwear I am fine." Kate pushed passed EJ and walked in. "Morning, Natalie." Natalie said nothing, but raised her hand acknowledging. Kate went to the kitchen and sat at the table. Emma sat with her.
"I want you two to know that I totally support you. I love you. Both and are super happy that you both found love. On the other hand..." Kate slapped Emma's arm.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"For having a girlfriend for six years and not telling me! I'm your big sister! It's my job to know these things."
"Well, it's not something you can bring up in a conversation. 'Hey, sis, how is it going? Good? That's good. Oh yeah, I'm a lesbian and am dating my childhood best friend.'"
Kate sighed. "I know...., I am sorry. I did some research about it though."
"Research?" Asked Nat. By this time she was over at the table with us.
"Yeah, on homosexual marriages. You two said you were engaged. I want to help plan the wedding." Kate said as she smiled.
Emma Jane felt touched. Her parents might be mad, but at least she had her sister.
"But what about our families?" Natalie asked.
"Honey, I will make sure people come to this wedding, even if I have to pay strangers. This wedding is happening."
