I didn't know how to take the explanations they have given me, but I do know it tore me up. I sat in the same spot, panting heavily, trying to understand.
They had told me a lot. Even how Melissa (Aruva), wasn't my biological sister and that they suspected that my dreams were memories. One thing she doesn't know though, is how we got on Zephroid.
Mom had recovered and was laying out our plans on attacking these Cravoiens, who I've learnt are takers of planets. She's strong. If it was me who had been through all she's been through, I'd have already given up and may have even already submitted to death. But I guess she had a reason to keep going.
Travis and I were working on his bike, transferring some of the elements from my light cycle into his to enhance it. And they were making copies of my weapons, programming more features into them.
We were almost ready.

We laid low, guns firing at the ceiling and windows, and even through the walls. I crawled on my belly searching for Anissa. When I found her I hugged her close to me as she lets out fighting screams at the terrible scene around her. She trembled terribly. Tears streamed down her face as a shower of fear and doubt and worry fell upon her. I doubt that even if she was standing on the Sun she wouldn't be dried.I didn't know what to do I say to calm her down. I whispered promises to her that everything would be ok. That we would get out of this alive. Together!
Screams pierced my ears and Anissa automatically cringe. I rock your body, handed her a weapon and told her I'd be back. The fright that bathed her face threatened to be tattooed on my mind forever. I crouched and ran over beside Travis, querying from him how many soldiers were lost. He told me that he didn't know but he knew it was more than a mere fraction.
short started to tear down on us like rain. Even I started to worry. I wondered how many of us what gets out of here alive. I looked around and noticed there was a door nearby. I nudged Travis, showed him the door, and told him to cover me.
I creeped towards the door, Travis following close behind. I pushed my head around it and peeked outside. There were about 150 people out there. There was possibly no escape. My mind whirred. I didn't know what to do. Travis nudged me and encouraged me to come back inside. We slowly threaded through the gunshots pouring down, and made our way over to Angelica. We told her about the discovery and she mentioned something to Travis about an escape door somewhere. I made my way back to Anissa and instructed her to come with me. She was still shaken up but she nodded her head slowly and crawled on her belly, following closely behind.
We made it to the trapdoor , and we slowly climbed down with the rest of the team. We threaded through the underground sewage, guided by beams of light from a flashlight. The gunshots faded in the distance and I sighed at the comfort of knowing they were safe for now.
I felt a wave of cold breeze slap hard against my face. I figured we were nearing the end of this tunnel. My heart drummed fast and hard against my chest as the harsh truth hit me. We were being hunted. We could never settle in one place again. We would be on the run, ALWAYS. I wasn't used to that life, but I guess we would do anything to spare ourselves. Wouldn't you do it too? Wouldn't you run?
It's so strange though. I was the Supreme Commander just yesterday, hunting down criminals and bringing them to Justice, and now I'm the one being hunted. It doesn't feel so good at all.
I stepped out into the cold night, hugging myself tightly. I glanced around. I didn't know where we were and I didn't care. All that matters is that we are safe.
We huddled around in a circle, discussing our next move. I stopped dead in my tracks. I wasn't hearing anything Travis or Mom was saying. I was just focusing on the dead leaves that I just heard being trampled on by someone's foot. I listened intently, straining my ear for the sound again, but it never came. Maybe I'm just being too paranoid. I refocused on the conversation at hand but not letting my guard down this time. Then I heard it again.
I immediately went into a defensive stance, the others following closely behind. Travark and two other men came out of hiding with weapons pointed at us. Some more men came out from some other point surrounding and closing in on us. They circled us beasts playing with their prey.
I knitted my eyebrows and lunged forward, but I was being held back. My hands flailed as they begged to be connected with Travark's face.
As usual, he let out that menacing laugh that scared the crap out of me. But I didn't flinched this time. I was too angry and too bitter to be focusing on that. His eyes lit dangerously as the corners of his mouth grew into a thin, crooked smirk.
