Annabeth's POV
Hazel, Frank and I ran into the infirmary to find Nico, summoning flaming skeletons from the goat book in Will's bookshelf.

Hazel yelled,"NO!" But it was too late. The skeletons started singing the song, swiping with their Stygian swords.

All of us backed up. Frank looked like he had just ran a mile. He was sweating like crazy.

Hazel started using her powers and she took the swords away from the skeletons. I grabbed my dagger and sliced the skeletons who kept trying to hurt Frank. Frank was just staying back against the wall, dodging the flames.

One of the skeletons launched an arrow and almost hit Frank's face.  Time to end this, I thought. I got a sleep potion from Will's test shelf, hoping that it would work and sprayed the nasty chemical on Nico.

The skeletons fell and Nico curled up into a ball, sucking on his thumb.

Hazel and Frank brushed themselves off, from all the ash the fire made.

We grabbed all the ingredients we needed for the cure and stirred them in the pot. I put it in a big can with a spray top.

"Now all we need to do is pour it on everyone." Frank said, happily.

"But it's not that easy. What happens if it spreads again?" Hazel replied.

"So we have to get it on everyone. But how?" I asked.

We hear banging on the chemistry lab door.

"So they obviously know where in here because of our brain signature. We haven't been infected yet. So we need to lure everyone near the Big House and spray the chemical on them."

Frank looked through the blinds." Well that's going to be a problem. The zombies are in the Big House."

"What about the new Neptune, er Poseidon water tower the Vulcan, I mean, Hephaestus cabin built? Can't we go up there?" Hazel questioned.

"Good idea. Put on your earplugs and let's move." I said.

Hazel's POV
We finally made it outside, not hearing a thing about the Meh song.

The tower was all the way across Camp Half-Blood so we had to run. Halfway there, the earplugs disintegrated. The air smelt like New Orleans, home.

Stop it Hazel, she thought to herself. The mist is trying to trick you.

We finally made it to the water tower and Frank pulled down a ladder. All of a sudden, the meh zombies and skeletons start running towards us. Frank and I ran up the ladder while Annabeth was stuck on the floor.
She yelled, "GO! I got it from here!"

Skeletons clawed at the floor and Annabeth screamed. She fell into a hole and the last thing I saw of her normal life source. She climbed out with purple eyes and sang, "Everyone's a meh, everyone's a meh."

Frank and I scrambled up the ladder and the step where my feet cracked and broke off. I started to fall but Frank caught me by my hand. He tried to pull me up but the skeletons held on to my Nike.

I told him," Frank you can't pull me up."

He tried again, but it didn't work.

"Let me go," I said.

He shook his head.

"Let me go. It's okay."

He let go of my hand and the last thing I saw was Frank melancholy eyes, as I plunged into the darkness.

Frank's POV

I literally just watched my girlfriend fall, and I couldn't... save her. I felt like crying, but the skeletons were catching up to me. It was only a matter of time till... no brain, I will stop the apocalypse. For Annabeth, for Hazel.

I got to the top of the water tower and I tugged on the pipe that connects the liquid source to down below on the ground. It didn't budge. I hear my father's voice ringing in my head,

Think about something that makes you angry.

Nothing made me angry. I was always me, or as Hazel likes to say, my charming, klutzy little bear cub.

Try harder, my father said.

I had a flashback when I got back on the Argo II and Coach Hedge saw Hazel and Leo looking at each others' eyes and holding hands. Hazel later explained to me that they were both sharing a flashback, but boy I was like a tea kettle that was about to explode.

I imagined that thought and the pipe flew right off. I stuck the bottom of the cure in the pipe —said, "Here goes nothing,"— and turned on the water tower.
------------------------------------------------------
The water tower creaked and sprouted to life.
Hundreds of campers got drenched with water and fell asleep. Ten minutes later, they woke up saying, "What happened?"

Frank looked around for Hazel. He found her in the hole, not breathing. The rest of seven circled around the hole. Nico came over and checked her pulse. He looked at everyone and shook his head.

She was gone.
Forever.

The rest of the seven, Nico and I were about to tear up when Hazel opened her eyes. They were her sweet, normal eyes. I tackled her in a hug.

"Frank...you're...squishing...ME." She murmured. I let go of her and she gave me a peck on the cheek.

"How is this possible?" asked Nico.

"Oh, by the way Hades, says hi. He said he gave me One Last Shot. " (A.N: That's the title of the new book I'm making! Squee!!!😄 Coming soon in Summer or Fall of 2016!)

Nico prayed to his father and Leo questioned,
"Is the apocalypse over?"

"The world will never know," Piper said, and we all looked at the stars and said, "Bob says Hello."
