Laura's pov
I changed into the shorts and sweatshirt that Ross gave me then took my hair out of the ponytail it was in. Ross walked in a little later in what he usually wears to bed basket ball shorts and no shirt. "Ross I'm going to go to bed" I said standing up. I always sleep in the guest bedroom which had basically become my room "Laur wait, sleep in here" I turned around "are you sure?" "Yeah" he nodded before I crawled under the warm covers, I felt Ross crawl in bed next to me and pull me closer to him I smiled "goodnight Ross" "goodnight Laur" I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
*next morning (Saturday)*
I woke up cuddled into Ross's chest. "Ross? " I whispered "Ross wake up" shook him "Laur what time is it" he groaned "ten o'clock" "oh" he sat up "do you want any breakfast" "no Ross I think I'm going to go home for a bit to make sure my dads ok" he got a concerned look on his face "Laur are you sure?" "Yeah I I'll call if I need anything" "promise?" "I promise" "ok do you want me to drive you?" "Sure" I smiled and got up before walking to the guest bedroom and grabbing a pair of black leggings and one of Ross's other sweatshirts he lent me awhile ago, I changed into them and then walked back to Ross's room he was now wearing dark blue jeans and a yellow t-shirt "is that my sweatshirt?" He asked pointing to the one I was wearing "yeah" I smiled, he laughed before hugging me "ok let's go before Riker wakes up or he won't let you leave" "the only reason I'm going is to make sure my dad made it back safely and everything I'll probably leave before he gets drunk again" Ross nodded before he walked downstairs he grabbed his keys and I slipped on my black converse and he slipped on his yellow ones and I followed him to his car. "Laura I want you to know I'm not supporting this choice" "Ross I know" he started driving down the road to my house and didn't stay another word to me "Ross are you mad?" "No Laur I'm just worried" "I'll be fine" the car came to a stop "I'll text you later" I got out of the car and approached my house my dad wouldn't be bad right now because he's probably sober. I walked inside "dad?" "In here Laura" I walked into the kitchen "where were you last night?" "With Ross" "really? I went there last night and he said you weren't there" he stepped closer to me "don't ever lie to me again Laura!" "I'm sorry" he shoved me against the wall and slapped me "don't ever come back here!" He pushed me to the floor and kicked my side before walking out of the room I winced in pain luckily my phone was in my pocket and I was able to get it out I called Ross.

Phone call

Ross:Laura what's up?

Laura: I..my dad ..just come over now

Ross:I'm on my way don't worry!
End of phone call

Ross's pov
I had just gotten home when Laura called me. "Riker lets go Laura went home and her dad did something!" Riker raced down the stair's with Rocky at is heals "I'm coming to!" All three of us darted to Riker's car I hopped in the back and Rocky jumped in the passenger seat next to Riker who was already driving down the road "Ross why would to let her go home!?!?" "She insisted she needed to make sure everything was ok" he had already pulled up in front of Laura's house and I was already half way to the door followed by the other two close behind. I burst through the door "Laura?!" I heard her faint voice from the kitchen "in here" Rocky and Riker where no holding back her dad and I ran to the kitchen "Laura oh my gosh" she was laying on the floor and there was a bruise already on her face "it's ok Laura" I picked her up bridle style and ran for the door before Her dad could stop me Rocky and Riker pushed him and they where able to follow me to the car I laid Laura down and put her head in my lap in the backseat "Laura can you hear me?" "Yeah" tears where running down her face "I should have listened to you" "it's ok your safe now" she closed her eyes and before we new it we where all finally back at our house. Rocky picked up Laura bridle style and I got out of the car and followed him inside with Riker on my tail "MOM!" My mom Stormie  rushed into the living room where Laura was on the couch "Laura's dad beat her up again" "ok Rocky get a bowl of water Riker get a washcloth, Ross stay with Laura" I sat down on the floor next to the couch "Ross my side hurts" "I know it's ok" I grabbed her hand "it will feel better soon" my mom came back into the room with Rocky and Riker she put the wash cloth in the water and then lifted Laura's shirt a little revealing a huge bruise on her side "oh my gosh Laura" she winced as the cloth touched her side and she squeezed my hand slightly tighter "ow" she cried "shh shh it's ok" I whispered in her ear my mom soon wrapped um her side "she has a broken rib but it should be healed fully in about a week" "thanks mom" she left the room "Laura you can't keep going back there" Rocky said "yeah I know" she said tears coming from her eyes
