That's Brent. And I made a mistake in the previous chapter. His eyes are blue not dark brown.

"Are you serious Laurel? Brent is your brother!" I exclaimed. I mean I knew that she had a brother but I didn't know that it was this Brent Cooper. Wow, its a small world after all.

"Wow Laurel, you didn't tell me your brother was so cute," Felicity said checking him out.

"And Laurel, you didn't tell me your friend was so...fine," he said winking at her. She only smiled at him and blushed a little. Then, Brent offered Felicity a seat next to him and she gladly took it. Laurel sat next to me and soon enough, we were chatting and laughing.

"Hell no, Batman is way better than Superman," said Brent and Felicity in unison before both chuckling.

"OK, OK fine jeez," said Laurel and I, finally giving up.

"Yes," said Felicity and Brent before hugging each other. Was it just me or were they getting surprisingly close.

We all finally stood up and were now heading to class. But, as Felicity started walking, she stepped in a small puddle of juice and slipped backwards. She was ready to hit the ground, when Brent's hand quickly went behind her back to stop her. He steadied her and she looked at him with a surprise expression oh her face. He just smirked.

"Oh my God, Brent! Wow, like what? Killer reflexes, one more second and I would have hit my head very badly on the ground. Thank you," she said while standing up to hug him. I was still shocked but Laurel looked perfectly fine. In fact, she looked like she witnessed these kinds of things almost every day.

"Well, gotta get to my next lesson, wouldn't want to be late on my first day. I have economics, you?" he said, gesturing Felicity.

"I have economics too," she said, putting a huge smile on Brent's face.

"Laurel and I both have extended math," I said and Laurel just nodded.

Soon enough we were headed to our classrooms in pairs of twos.

"Oh my goodness, school is finally over. For a first day, today was very hectic," Felicity said walking out of French class with Brent. What a coincidence that those two had three of the same lessons on the same day.

"I know right. At least now I can spend more time staring at you instead of concentrating on Mr. Hans," Brent said staring at Felicity. She blushed again.

"OK you two flirts, let's get our things from our lockers and meet outside in a few minutes," I said. We all agreed and went our separate ways. A few minutes later, we met outside.

"Um hey you guys, would you like to come over to our house so we can...you know- chill and hang cause you know you're friends with Laurel and um Felicity and-"

"We would love to," Felicity said. Brent smiled and so did Laurel. Wow, I actually saw a small similarity in their faces when they smiled. Just then, Laurel got a text.

"One second guys, gotta see who it is," said Laurel. As she read the text her smile immediately faded away and was now replaced with a worried expression and then a scowl. Then she showed the text to Brent and a scowl also appeared on his face. Just then, she got a phone call.

"Hello," she said with hate and venom in her voice. She listened for a few seconds before asking "What the hell do you want from me?" At that moment I was afraid. I had never heard Laurel talk like that.
