Andrea's POV
"Six years ago, Kay and I were best friends. You know that part of the story. But I didn't tell you everything," he said.
"So that time when I said that I saw Kay in a corner of the road doing drugs, he caught me and asked me if I wanted to join him in the drug trafficking business. At first I said no because I didn't want to get involved in all of that stuff, and I didn't tell on him because he was still my best friend; I just asked him not to tell Laurel and we had a deal," he sighed.
"A week later, my girl friend, Tiana, and I started having problems. We kept arguing and dissing each other. She was always having mood swings and lashing out on me. I loved her and I didn't want to break up with her, but she gave me no choice. After the break up, I was like a zombie, I was depressed all the time. Eventually, I took on Kay's proposal and we became partners in crime."
"For the next two months, everything was good. We made deals and things ran smoothly. We didn't deal in things like Meth or something. We just did Marijuana and Cocaine. But, one day, someone offered to pay us a million dollars for Heroine and Meth. I didn't want to do it, but Kay convinced me."
"We found some guy who sold Meth and Heroine and we got the drugs. The second he gave us the drugs, we ran off without paying him his money. We laughed about it and we thought that everything was going to be Ok, but we were wrong."
"The day that we were going to give the guy the drugs, the police came. The guy called the police on us. They came and almost caught Kay and I, we were lucky enough to survive but we were injured. Some of his guys made it out but most of them were sent to jail."
"We got some stitches and plasters but we were fine. But, even after all that happened, Kay still wanted to keep going with the stupid business. I told him NO, I said that we got lucky this time but next time we could die. I said that I wasn't ready to leave my sister alone in this world. I mean sure we still had our parents but they were all around the world, God knows where."
"Eventually, we had an argument and I left the gang. I begged him to leave too but he said that he needed the business to make money and provide for himself and my sister. I told him that I could take care if both him and my sister, but he said that he wanted to be a man and provide for himself and his girl. That's why the argument started in the first place."
"I then warned him that if he didn't leave the gang and the business, he would have to stay away from my sister. I didn't want her getting involved in his mess. But, he said no. He was in love with her and he didn't want to leave her. So, I threatened him, I told him that if he didn't leave my sister out of his mess, then I would personally make sure that they never saw each other again. He had slight anger issues and so he punched me. We got into a fight, but we were soon separated by his gang members. Ever since that day we were never close again."
"I told you how I told Laurel to stay away from Kay and stuff, well she did. After he was thrown in jail, I thought that it was the end of it. Until, Laurel told me that she was pregnant with his baby. I begged her to get am abortion but she refused, she actually wanted the baby."
"I, as her older brother, knew that she would throwing her life away by having that baby. So I talked to mom and dad about it. Mom was worried but she, as mother, understood and gave Laurel her blessing. Dad, on the other hand, was very angry, but there was nothing he could do about it. At that point, I was angry and desperate and so I played someone to push her down the stairs at that party so she would lose the baby. It was only after she fell that u realised what I had just done and I rushed her to the hospital."
"Our parents flew to Chicago the next day to come and see Laurel. They stayed with her for a couple of weeks before they had to leave again for work. We all thought that Laurel had lost the baby and I didn't tell mom and dad anything about how the stair accident happened, I just said that she tripped on her way down."
"A day after my parents left, the doctor told me that after some tests, they found that the baby was still alive, he miraculously survived the fall. I didn't know whether to be relieved or worried or happy or sad. But, I realised that there was a better way to handle the situation now that Laurel was in a comma and my parents were away."
"So that's why I did what I did. I thought that maybe I was doing what was best for her and if she ever found out, she would be grateful. But I was wrong, she was angry and I didn't even have a chance to explain myself," he sighed.
"That's how you got those reflexes, from the gang. Wait, did you ever tell Laurel about the gang?" I asked.
"Yeah. After she sent Kay to jail, I told her that I was helping him out by being in his gang but I didn't tell her that I was also drug trafficking."
"Brent, you've been through so much. It still doesn't justify fact that you pushed your sister down the stairs, manipulated her and never told her that she had a child. But I get why you did it, and I'm gonna forgive you for it," I said and Brent looked like he was about to cry.
"Thank you," he said hugging me, and I slowly hugged him back. Then, he let go of me and starred into my eyes.
"You know, I really missed Felicity, but I missed you more. Angel," he said.
"You still remember that name," I giggled.
"How could I forget? You're so special. You came to me when no one else would even look at me. You listened to me when no one even remembered what my voice sounded like. You tried to help me when no one cared whether I was alive or not," he said and we both chuckled.
"I missed you too," I admitted. Then, I kissed him. It actually felt nice. It wasn't weird at all. I was actually happy, until I heard the sound of glass breaking. Brent and I turned around only to see Felicity standing there with tears in her eyes.
Oh no.
********
So now you know the truth. I hope you understand why Brent did what he did. And honestly, I forgive him too. Lol.
Anyway do you think that things are now officially over between Felicity and Andrea and Felicity and Brent. Who's side are you on.
The next chapter will have some drama. Till then, bye
