Chapter 10

Andrea's POV

"Did you just say you know where Laurel is?" Mason asked, entering the room.

"Yeah, uh, Andrea and I were able to locate her."

"That's awesome, where is she?" Jace asked.

"She's in a place called Michael's gummy bear factory," I said looking at the screen. "Its only a twenty minute drive from here."

"Wait, did you just say Michael's gummy bear factory?" Brent asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"That was Laurel's favorite place in the world when we were kids. She always loved gummy bears and Michael's gummy bear factory was basically a gummy bear world. When she and Kay were dating, they would go there a lot. But, she stopped going there after her break up with Kay. The place must be old and different by now. It shut down two years ago," Brent explained.

"Oh my God. It was right in front of us the whole time. Kay probably knew that this place would be too obvious of a place for us to search from," I said.

"And so he decided to keep her there," Brent finished.

"Smart," we said at the same time. Then, we looked at each other for a few seconds and looked away, clearing our throats.

"Wow, you guys are so awesome when you work together. Its like you're unstoppable. The mystery solvers, the puzzle fixers," Jace said.

"Anyway," Felicity said, trying to change the subject.

"Yes, so now there's just one more thing I have to do," Brent said, writing things on the laptop. He tapped a bunch of keys and around a minute later he stopped and smiled. "Done," he said.

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, I just hacked into every working security camera inside and outside the building and recovered every single tape from the past two weeks," he said.

"Oh, wow. Brent, that's actually really-"

"Amazing," Felicity said, interrupting me. "That's so amazing and brilliant and I'm so lucky to have a guy like you," she said and then kissed him. He didn't kiss her back at first, but he eventually kissed her.

I looked away, slightly embarrassed and mad. We were talking and she just interrupted me and then kissed him. That was so rude. Like what the hell!

When they pulled away, we all looked at the cameras for a few minutes. We saw a scene of Laurel kissing Kay and Mason cringed but then he saw her take Kay's phone and then he smiled. Then there was a scene where Kay threw Laurel on the ground and Brent clenched his fist and his face turned red. Later, we saw another scene of Laurel and Kay kissing.

"That's enough," Mason said and we all looked away from the screen.

"OK, so now we know where laurel is but we need a plan. Mase whatcha got for us?" I asked.

"Once we reach the factory, we will split into two two groups. One with Jace, Felicity and me and the other with you and Brent," Mason explained.

"From there, we will take care of Kay's watchdogs in the lower level and you guys take the higher level," Jace continued.

"Whoever finishes first comes back to help the others. And from there, we all look for Laurel in the building together in a group," Felicity finished.

"That's good, but why did you put Brent and I together?" I asked.

"Uh um, mystery solvers," Jace said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yes but-"

"It's fine Andrea. You and I are just coworkers, so everything will be fine," Brent said interrupting me.

"Good," Felicity said with the biggest smile on her face.

"We still have a problem," I said.

"Oh my God, Andrea why are you such a buzz kill today?" Jace asked and I glared at him.

"I'm not being a buzz kill but I'm just saying that we need a plan B in case anything goes South. What if we get there and they're already gone?"

"Then, we get answers from the watchdogs and immediately go to find them," Mason answered.

"Sounds good."

"Sounds good except, we left out one important part," Brent said.

"Whats that?" Felicity asked.

"We have to teach you and Andrea how to fight better."

"But we can fight. Remember what we did to those guys last time."

"Remember what they did to you. I can't let that happen again."

"We'll be fine. Ad long as we stick with you guys we'll all be OK. But right now, the only person who matters is Laurel," I said.

"Yeah Brent. We don't have time for this right now. We have to initiate the plan ASAP," Mason added.

"Alright then. Everybody go shower and suit up, we leave in twenty minutes. We're gonna need to carry some knives and a gun if necessary," Brent said.

"Brent!" Felicity exclaimed.

"No Felicity. When he took my sister, he started a war. This isn't a game. He should be in jail for kidnapping and drug trafficking but he isn't. He started a war which isn't going to end until one if us dies."

"There must be another way," I started. "You guys don't have to kill each other because of this. You can overcome it."

"I'm afraid that this is way past overcoming. This is a war and wars only end when enough people die," Jace said and Felicity gave him a worried look.

"Everyone go get ready, were getting my sister back and we're killing this guy once and for all," Brent said and walked out of the room.

"Oh damn. Its about to go down," I said and everyone scattered.
