Kestrel's POV

I cover my mouth and tears brim my eyes. I shake my head slowly. Her vocal cords were cut?!

The tears run down my face and Liam wipes them away. "Oh my god.." I whimper.

Tundra smiles very weakly as I try and stand up. Liam hold my arm and wraps it around his neck.

He gently holds my waist and helps me walk to Tundra. I hug her and she seems a little taken back.

"I have a plan to stop the war." I say. I look at her and Ash. I look back at Liam and he nods.

I told him what I was thinking before. "We could tell them about all of us." I say. The two look at each other confused.

"Mates, we have mates from each others pack, maybe we could tell them about us and they'd stop." I say.

"Why would they stop just because we have mates from each others packs?" Ash asks.

"Then they would know that they would be hurting people from their own pack." I say. I hold Liam's arm.

"Now I'm not that familiar with wolf law, but is it a law that we can't hurt anyone, especially if we are mated?" I ask.

Tundra and Ash look at each other as I wait for an answer.

Tundra's POV

"I don't think that the Red River Pack is following the rules at the moment..." I said to Ash.

He nods in agreement. Kestrel looks at us, waiting.

"They aren't exactly rule followers, and it's not like Tundra is important to them. Hell they abused her for years!" Ash growled, getting upset.

I hugged him and he seemed to calm down more. He caressed my hair and kissed my head.

"Besides, if Jack found out.... He'd come to kill all of us." I said to Ash.

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Then let him try. We have better warriors than that mutt." Ash spat.

"You do know, Liam am I can't hear you?" Kestrel said, butting into the conversation.

"I can." Liam stated.

"Technically, until I'm accepted into your pack, I'm part of the Red River Pack and Liam is still in that pack." I explained to Ash.

"Yeah, speaking of. Why don't we do that now and worry about the war later. This way if you need help my warriors can help you if they can hear you and know who you are to me." Ash said.

I bit my lip nervously and nod my head.

"Let's do this." I breathed in his head.

"I'm going to explain to poor Kestrel what's going on." Ash chuckled as his eyes glazed over, him probably using the mind link to tell her.

Kestrel's POV

"Okay." I say in his head as Ash tells me his plans. "What about Liam?" I ask him with my voice.

"We will introduce him into ours too." Ash says. I look at Liam. "Are you okay with joining our pack?" I ask.

He nods and grabs my hands. "Of course I am." I hear a small laugh and shoot a glare at my brother.

"What? My little sis found her mate, it's cute." He says. I shoot a low growl his way and nudge Liam towards him.

"He needs ceremonial clothing and I'm not a dude. Tundra you can come with me because I have too much fancy stuff."

She nods and walks over to me. "I'll do your makeup for you too." I whisper. Liam and Ash walk over to Ash's room and Tundra and I walk to mine.

I open the door and take a deep breath. I walk in and grimace at the pain a little. It should be better later on.

I open my wardrobe and toss suitable clothing onto my bed. Good thing Tundra was sitting by my vanity.

I pick out a silky white and black dress that had no sleeves. It wrapped around my neck that led down two straps around my chest which was completely covered.

There was an opening at my mid thigh that separated the back and the front of my dress of each side.

I looked at Tundra as she stares at the pile of clothes with wide eyes. "I've collected a lot over the years," I say "Now go through them and pick what you like."

Tundra's POV

I looked at all of Kestrel's dresses. They all looked too nice for me.

"Ash I can't wear any of these. They're too beautiful." I said to him in the mind link.

"Nonsense Tundra, you deserve the best dress in the world." Ash replied.

Typical Ash. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I looked through the dresses and picked one most appealing to me. It was a long silk white dress. It was beautiful. Kestrel smiled.

"Good choice, it looks like it will fit you well." She stated happily.

"Now I'll do your make up and you can slip it on in the bathroom." Kestrel says and points towards her bathroom.

I nod my head and pick up the dress. I take it into the bathroom. I take a shower and when I get out I slip the dress on. It complimented my skin very well. I dried my hair and brushed it. I walked out and Kestrel gasped.

"Tundra, you look amazingly beautiful!" She gushed.

I blushed and hid my face with my hair.

"I'm going to do your hair first than your makeup. I hope you don't mind fancy buns." Kestrel smiled as she sat me down at her vanity.

Kestrel's POV

I gently took her brown hair and started twisting it into a bun. I spruced it up so it'd be fancy.

I let a few strands dangle by her face and then turn her to face me. I pull out my makeup bag and grab the things I need.

I start on her eyeliner, then her eyeshadow which was a light brown. I did her mascara which was really light.

I give her a little blush and and set ir down. I grab a pinkish lipstick and apply it to her lips.

I smile and my work and motion for her to look in the mirror. She looks and smiles. "Okay, you can go if you want."

She nods but gets up and sits on my bed. I smile and sit down in front of my mirror.

I plug in my curling iron and let it heat up. I begin curling my hair and when it's done, it curls up to my waist.

I grab a hair tie and put my hair into a high ponytail. I apply my makeup similar to Tundra's and look at her.

"Let's go." I say. She gets up and we walk to Ash's room. I knock on the door before opening it.

Ash and Liam stand in the middle of the room. Their jaws drop at the sight of us.

"Well are we going to stand here all day or are we going now?" I ask them. Ash nods "Let's go."

We all wall out of the room and to the main hall.
