As the layers melt away letting my soul breath
I hear your whispers thru the tunneled winds
I laid my foot steps to a pathway of my heart
Placing them just right to guide you till the end
Asking myself why this burden must come my way
My heart beats a rhythm telling me it's not the end
Plunging every moment into masking my pain
I know that this journey has just begun with you
My heart has be stoned in the past from traitors
That masked their self image before my visions
My heart lifted as you walked back into my life
If you just walk away now the pain will be greater
But only for you because my heart still tries each day
Holding for your presence to reoccur once more
You have left one stone in place before my heart
It awaits your foot steps to walk back into it
I hear your soul drowning cause of this dismay
We should listen to what they say each day
For our hearts have become intertwined
Mine beats when your beats in every way
For one can not mimic if we stood alone
We have captured each other from day one
There is only one way to understand
