Is this what separates the sheep from the goats, those who publish and those who don't? The perception of writing as work?
I heard the chorus of a song I had written in one minute on a car drive, on national tv. It never crossed my mind that it had been work or that it could be called work. It was as natural as breathing.
An art expert quoted a huge price for my sculpture, and told me not to train: "It'll knock the art out of you!"
If my writing becomes work, I will give up and paint again :)
