Chapter Fourteen

"You have to accept me again and then I will bite you and you will be mine once again." he smiled deviously at me.

"First send Chad with her and when they are both safe in Ryder's territory I will then and only then, accept you."

He stood from his chair and held out his hand, "Deal."

I hesitantly and slowly lifted my arm and stuck it out and took his hand shaking it. With that I turned and left his office and head towards Chad and Shi. I stood by the entry way to the living room and held back a laugh as I watched Chad and Shi play paddy cake.

"The kid never leaves any of us." I said after watching them for a while.

They both turned and looked at me with grins in their faces.

"I need to talked to you two." I walked up to them and sat on the couch grabbing Shi's hand. "Chad is going to take you to my mate and together you and him can go and find your mate and you can be with him now and be part of his pack."

She looked confused as did Chad, "What about you mom?"

"I'll be a few days behind you." I hate lying to my own daughter but knew it was for the best at the moment. But looking at Chad I knew he knew I was lying to and instead of outing me he stood up and started pacing.

"What is he making you do?" he asked running his hand through his pale blonde hair.

"I just have to help his new guys through their first change and teach them to fight."

"That right my mom is a badass." Shi beamed up at me.

Chads eyes snapped to mine and I silently begged him, "please take her."

He slightly nodded and left the room. I turned back to Shi, "Will you give Ryder something for me?"

"Of course."

She stayed by my side as I wrote a letter to Ryder:

Love,

Please help Shi find her mate. I love you and I will always love you but I owe her this. . . . .

She is my daughter.

I understand if you do not accept me as your mate because I had a child with another man but I hope you do not hate me.

I only just found out about her and if you ask her she will tell you everything since I have told her. Be kind and protective to her and please stay in touch with her. I trust you with all my heart and I know you will do as I ask.

The pain this causes me is more then I thought possible and I am so sorry for the pain this is going to cause you.

The deal I made with Bret was Shi to be with you, he doesn't know about her really going to her mate, and I will be Bret's made again.

Please forgive me! We will be together again in the next life.

Stay true to who you are and be that loving great man I know you are and protect my daughter.

A tear slipped from my eye and landed on the paper as I started to fold it. "Give this to him for me."

Shi's eyes were filled with concern for me as she nodded.

"Come on I hear Chad starting the car." I grabbed her hand and we walked to the front door and out to the car. I gave her a tight big hug, "see you soon and be safe."
