Chapter Twenty Eight

I heard mummers from beside me. My eyes were still heavy and my body felt like it weighed a hundreds of pounds.

“She is going to kill you.” I heard an all too familiar female voice hiss.

“They were losing each other love. You should have seen it, the light that they had was gone he needed her back and she needed to be back. She can deal.” Max said kindly to his mate.

“I won’t hold her back from punching you.” Katherina said blankly. She sighed then I felt a dip in the bed, “Is Shia and her mate here?” she asked running her hands through my hair.

“They are on their way. Their whole pack is staying with us until Bret’s grandfather and his pack is taken care of.”

“Make sure the house is set up for us females and the children.”

I heard him chuckle softly, “Already on it love.”

“Where is Ry” she cut herself off feeling my quick breath hearing his name. “K?” she asked loudly.

No point of faking that I’m still out now. I worked to open my eyes; the sun was bright and instantly gave me a headache. I looked over and saw a smiling Katherina by my side. She didn’t even give me a chance to sit up or move or even say anything her arms were around me and she was hugging me tight. “I love you K, thank you for what you did.” Working to get my heavy arms around her I hugged her back. We stayed like that for a while and when she sat up I started feeling normal again. I looked round the room; it was the guest bedroom down the hall from Ryder’s bedroom. My wolf whimpered inside smelling him in the air. I sat up and glared over at Max.

“I swear Max if anything happens to her I will personally kill you,” I quickly looked over at Katherina, “no offense.”

She barley smiled, “I told them you would be pissed. You can hit him just don’t kill him.”  Max slipped out of the room ignoring my glare and my threat. Katherina stood up, “Why don’t you shower and get yourself ready for the day. You need to see the twins they have grown so much since you last saw them.” She kissed my head and left the room.

I had to hold on to the head board to keep me from falling, whatever they knocked me out with was strong. I slowly made my way to the shower and got undressed. After a nice long thirty minute shower I got out and got dressed, I was looking out the window at my daughters pack making themselves at home. I looked around to find Shia but I haven’t seen her yet. I few low growls outside of my door snapped me from my gaze out the window and towards the door; I turned in time to see Ryder being pushed into the room. I huffed and crossed my arms across my chest, my wolf wanted me to run to him and feel his arms wrapped around me. All the heart ache and pain I felt since the bond breaking didn’t matter now, he was here and she wanted him. But the smart part of me that just saw him being forced into a room with me made me stay where I stood. We locked eyes for a while, just staring into his green eyes made my heart flip. His eyes bore into mine but it wasn’t love coming from them, no longing, no missing me, it was fury. He was mad at me and I didn’t know why.
