"Wake. Up." Alicé said stiffly. She shook Joanne awake.
"What?" Asked Joanne. She rolled over to show tired eyes.
"Whatchu want?" Alicé looked over to see Drew awake.
"We need to get going." Said Alicé. Joanne shook her head and rolled back over.
"Joanne!" Yelled Alicé.
"Alicé! I'm sleeping!" Moaned Joanne.
"No, you were sleeping. Look, I made us breakfast!" Alicé motioned to a little fondant-wooden tray with a bunch of candy foods.
"How long have you been awake?" Asked Drew as he inspected the freshly, well, however she cooked it, hard candy eggs and something made into Orange juice.
"Hmm, when did the sun rise?" Asked Alicé.
"I dunno and I don't care." Said Joanne. She sat up and looked at the tray.
"How did you get this, anyway?" Asked Drew between bites of marshmallow fluff pancakes and the sugar glass glass of Orange juice, or whatever it was.
"I went exploring." Said Alicé. Joanne nodded, and tried to grab a pancake, but Alicé took it from her.
"Hey! I'm hungry!" Yelled Joanne.
"Too bad, so sad. You should have gone and found some food of your own." Said Alicé. Joanne threw her hands up in anger.
"That boy-"
"Drew!" Said Drew.
"Drew, then, he didn't make that!"
"Leave me out of this!" Said Drew.
"Just go." Said Alicé. Joanne threw her hands up in rage and marched out of the tent. She saw that icing rain was falling from the sky.
"Great." Said Joanne. She walked to a river that was filled with blue sugar water. She put her mouth to the stream, and felt something on her mouth. She pulled it up and saw a candy fish, which was squirming around in her hand. She lowered it to her mouth, and took a bite.
"Ew, that's disgusting." Drew had finished his meal, it seemed.
"Finished the meal and came to taunt me?" Said Joanne in an annoyed voice. Drew let out a great big sigh.
"Why are you and Alicé being such jerks?" Sighed Drew.
"What do you mean?" Asked Joanne.
"After you left, there was a great big silence. Alicé yelled at me for not talking. When I tried to start a conversation she said that my voice was to annoying to listen to." Said Drew.
"Wow. I can tell you why I was being sour. But you can't tell Alicé." Said Joanne.
"I promise."
"Well," said Joanne. "I had a crazy dream, where this guy said he was my father, and it was weird. When Alicé woke me up, I felt like I didn't get any sleep.
"Um. Okay." Said Drew.
"Well, let's go inside. Alicé is getting impatient."
"Okay." Said Joanne. When they entered the tent, they saw Alicé, dressed.
"Me and Drew will wait outside while you dress." Said Alicé. Joanne went in the tent.
"What did you dream about?" Asked Drew, having a sudden idea.
"Um, why?" Asked Alicé.
"No reason." Said Drew.
"Well, I dreamt that...Well...it's hard to explain. This guy said he was my father and that he was the bad sir Danns. It was weird. Don't tell Joey, though." Said Alicé.
"WHAT?!" Yelled Drew. "That's, that's-that's IMPOSSIBLE!"
"It was just a dream!" Said Alicé.
"What are you guys talking about?" Joanne came out of the tent.
"Nothing!" Said Alicé and Drew at the same time.
"Okay, um, your turn Drew." Said Joanne.
Drew entered the tent. Joanne and Alicé didn't look at each other until Drew came out. They walked into a little until they hit a fork in the road. There was a forest on one side, and what looked like a village on the other.
"Alright, the quickest way to the castle is through the forest-" said Drew.
"Then we should go that way." Interrupted Joanne.
"But a safer way is to go through the village." Continued Drew.
"We should go the safest way." Said Alicé.
"You mean the stupid way?" Said Joanne.
"I wouldn't go the stupid way. It would be you!" Said Alicé.
"Fine! Fine! I'm going through the forest." Said Joanne. She marched off to the side with the forest. Drew and Alicé stared at each other.
"Come on." Mumbled Alicé. Drew followed Alicé down the path to the village.
