Jumping to a tree with ease, I bounced to the other trees into the tiny man made forest, seeknig the cause of the distress I had heard. Something was wrong, very wrong. It nagged me till I finally reached my destination. I sat on a maple tree up high. Staring down at the view in front of me. My eyes enchancing themselves so I could see better.

The scene in front of me made me bite back a growl as the hair raised on my back. Lying my body on the branch I was on I looked down at the large tiger wrapped in a metal chain net, the net had millions of little spikes and was wrapped right around Tyler's body, digging into his flesh as small droplets of blood rolled over his once beautiful fur. He would bleed out quickly, his skin wouldn't heal at all since the spikes were dug deeply into his fur. He was grunting as he stared at the group around him, some men holding guns at him. But these guns weren't any type of gun I had ever seen in my life. I scooted forward onto my branch to get a better look at the items these men were holding. The ends of the guns had built in knifes, but the guns were very large in general. There were a few different types of these guns with different weapons at the end, some had a extra revolver, while others held bows at the end.

Threatning to give a quick death. The one holding the knifed gun pointed at Tyler, and as quick as lightning he had stabbed it right into his side through the chain. Fresh blood began to spill as soon as the deed was done and the men laughed at Tylers horrific cry of pain. I winced staring in shock.

I should help him, shouldn't I? After all he did help me out a lot. He showed me some of the ways of life, even though he still had hurt me and taken his anger out me, but maybe he did it by accident. I watched as a man ran up to him and kicked him right in the face. It hardly affected him, yet the worst came as the man bent down and pressed a button on his boot and a few larger spikes popped out. Tyler growled in fear as he tried moving and thrashing as much as he could, but stopped as the net dug deeper into his fur. I watched as the booted man lifeted his leg to kick Tyler straight in the face.

I couldn't stop myself. I jumped right onto the first man I could get my claws into. My entire body crushing him down instantly as the sound of his bones crunched under me, then he was dead. I looked up at the frightned faces of the remaning men. Noticing the gear they wore for the first time.

Heavy black jackets and boots, if you looked closely you could see the slight bump from their weapons sticking through their clothing and showing off a slight outline, so thats how they walked around the streets without getting in trouble by the bystanders.

'Kenna get out of here.' Moaned Tyler. I shook my head giving him a hard stare.

The sound of someone loading up their gun clicked behind me as I spun around on them. Suddenly I realized my mistake. I had acted on instinct and not rational thought, fear started to strike me, my bravery disappearing.

"There's two of them!" A man exclaimed in shock.

"Kill them, the fur will do nicely." The second man said as he loaded his gun.

'DO SOMETHING!' The voice yelled in my head. Snapping me out of my shock moment, quickly pouncing up to the tree before one of them could get a aim on me I leaped to branch to branch as fast as possible to get a good hide away before I could think of a proper plan.

A few shots hit the air, but missed me completely. They had really bad aim. Staring down through the leaves as I tried to figure out a plan to get Tyler out of there, it was going to be tuff, taking a deep breath I decided to drop down once again as the one guy decided to get closer to the tree and look for me in it. Only he wasn't expecting me to land on him in the very next millisecond.

I felt the warmth of his blood seep between my claws as I jumped off his dead body that was so easy to crush under my strength, now there was only the one guy, trying not to show fear towards me as he held the gun up towards me. I hissed at him as my fur stood on end as I stared the human down.

I noticed Tyler lifting himself up ever so slightly, the soikes digging into him so much more it made me wince watching, blood poured from his fur coat as he got to a standing, using most of his strength he launched forward in the net, towards the hunter and gripped a hold of the humans ankle, sinking his fangs deep into the skin and bone. The man scream, and suddenly started to shoot randomly as he flailed his leg around to get Tyler off of him. I shrunk to the ground in time to have a bullet pass me as I jumped again. This time Landing on top of the man and bending my neck down so I could get a clear kill on his own neck. Pulling my lips back I gripped onto the soft buttery flesh and crushed it between my jaw. Content with the sound of bone and cartlidge breaking. We fell to the ground. Wasting no time I bit into one of the parts of the netting and pulled, feeling spikes run into my mouth and blood flow down my throat as I tried to tear the net off of him.

He moaned in pain as I eventually got it off in a few minutes. Spitting out the blood in my mouth I exdamined his quickly healing body. A lot of blood coated his fur, somealready dry while the other bit was still very fresh.

He moaned as he tried standing up. 'Lie back down, your not fully healed and you lost a lot of blood.' I ushered him as I pawed at his head a bit to push him down. He slumped back down looking defeated. He wasn't the type to show weakness, he alwas had a brave face on when I was around him but this time he showed his defeat to the hunters.

'We have to get out of here Kenna. They'll send more in here to retrieve the others and they wont be happy about what you left for them.' Tyler said as he tried to stand again. Before he could collapse I dartedd forward and put my head under his belly pushing up till his large body sliud back onto my back. He hissed a bit but he was right we had to go and quickly.

Making sure he was on a okay angle on me I trotted as gently as possible through the forest to the sandy banks to the ocean. Kneeling down so he could slide off and spray some of the salty water on him to wash his fur out. Looking closely the wounds were pretty much healed. He insisted on walking but I growled at him giving him my best death glare. I wasn't to forgiving to him just yet. I picked him back on my back and carried him out of the area as the city became alive again as the morning was getting closer.

'Kenna...I'm so sorry for biting you, I don't know why I did it, you didn't deserve to have my anger taken out on you.' He apolagized but I ignored him. It went on for a couple hours as I hurried my step looking for a way out of this city.

Just as the sun started to appear I had found a forest edge. My heart grew as I finally realized we were getting out of this crumby city. I raced across the little road that was the only thing stopping me, the road was nearly empty but there were still a few cars. I told Tyler to hold on very tightly as I used my speed to get as close to a blur to the human eyes. When my feet touched the soft ground filled with decaying leaves and other kinds of brush I dropped Tyler with a thump as he growled at me. But instead of wasting my time with him I took off on my own. Running through the forest away from him.
