Peter walked beside me to my right as we followed Skye and Lincoln down the hallway.

"We have a lot to catch up on," I said to him.

"Yeah," he replied. "How long's it been? A few years?"

I nodded. "Doesn't seem like it, but it has." I glanced at him, noting his jeans, tennis shoes blue NY Giants shirt with a leather jacket. "Did you ever stop wandering?"

He smiled. "I did. I got a job. And an apartment."

"Where?," I asked.

"Brooklyn. It's further from home, but not too far. Cheap, too."

"Ah," I said.

"What about you?," he asked. "I see you got taller."

"Why does everyone keep saying that?," I laughed. "I'm 19 instead of 15, sure, but I didn't change that much."

"Are you sure?."

"Well, yeah....." I said. "Okay, you might have a point."

He chuckled. "We were both just kids then. Naive, scared little kids."

I nodded to the people walking ahead of us. "So what's your take?"

"Hm?"

"On all this? What do you think?"

"I should be the one asking you that. You've been here longer," he said.

"Actually, no," I replied. "Believe it or not, I just got here."

"Really?"

"I'm just as much in the dark as you are."

"Well, to answer your question, I'm not really sure," he said. He nodded at Lincoln's back. "Not totally positive about that one."

I noted what I had seen in him earlier. There was more than meets the eye about Lincoln. "Yeah, me neither. But if what Skye...Daisy, said is true, it's possible we could help people."

"Daisy?"

"Long story," I said, shaking my head.
"I never took a liking to SHIELD, maybe what they stood for, but in the end game their interests were never similar to mine. But now it's supposed to be different. Maybe now, I could use my skills...what I can do...to make a difference. Even if it's small, I'd be open to suggestions."

"I see what you're getting at, but, you have to understand that if I went through with anything like this, I wouldn't be making a small difference," Peter said.

I smiled at him. "How are they by the way?"

He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Your powers. I'm assuming you've gotten control over them since we last met."

He smiled. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. Not so much as control over them, but they have less control over me now."

I nodded. Skye stopped and opened a door on the left, and they both disappeared inside. I glanced at Peter. "Well maybe we'll get to see that."

He stepped towards the door but I stopped him. "Oh, um, one thing you should know...I'm assuming they won't catch you up, so I'll do it myself. Those agents that took you way back when, Dr. Snow... Remember them?"

He stopped and turned. "How could I forget?."

"Yeah, well um, turns out they were part of a secret organization inside of SHIELD called Hydra...a ancient Nazi science division thing. Anyway, they created the Washington, D.C. Incident and now SHIELD is cleaning up the mess," I said quickly.
