You know, when it comes to school. Most people say they hate it, when in reality they dont. But I do. School is one of those places I wish was the place I could go to get away. Get away from stress and family. And although I can leave the family behind for eight hours. The stress stays.
I'm not going to tell you I am your typical high school girl, well because I'm not. You could say I am an outcast of some sort. I dont fit in with the 'cool' kids or the jocks. I'm not in the nerd/geek crowd either. I technically don't fall under the Gothic club and I definitely am not labeled under the drama club. I'm just another face in the crowd. Except.. my face is more known than you would think.
I already told you I am not popular. I am known to the popular group. Let me fill you in-
I, Iverly Clark, am known to the popular crowd as the girl who does all of their errands. I get Mitchel and Joe their daily egg and cheese sandwich from McDonald's. Seeing as Joe is our high school quarterback and Michel is the captain of the lacrosse time. Id say they are pretty popular among the ladies. Causing other to envy me. I also have to bring Samantha, Jessica, and Taylor lunch. They're the top three cheerleaders of Blackbridge High. Known for the "smoke'n hot bods" and their way around in bed. So technically I'm the girl who you would say is bullied by these popular teens. But its not like I asked for it. It's been like this since the end of seventh grade when Taylor got a hold of some of my personal things that she has threatened to blackmail me with ever since.
So here we are today on the fifth of October, and here I stand, in line waiting at McDonald's. School starts at eight thirty and it's seven fifty-five. Being the only costumer in the resutruant right now I fold my arms and lean my back against the Grey wall connected to the surving counter. How long could it possibly take to slap a plastic egg onto a biskut, throw it in the microwave for a minute and wah-la! You have a master piece. Yeah, really hard I tell ya. I've been waiting here for about ten minutes already and all they have done is the hash browns that come with the meal.
About five minutes later and a quick trip to the bathroom my order was done. Taking the bag off the counter and the frappe I ordered for myself I run out of McDonald's to my little Volkswagen Beetle. Shes not that bad, old but still runs like new. The cold November air nipped at my nose as I opened my car to get in. Feeling the warmth of the heater as the engine started I placed the bag in the passage seat and headed for school.
Of course I arrived just as the school bell rang to go to class. No time to put my bag in my locker for after school dance. How convent.
Hurrying past other students I fight my way up two flights of stairs with my large duffel bag for dance, backpack, bag of food and frappe I barely make it into the classroom as the minute bell rings. My eyes meet that of Taylor sitting next to Joe and Mitchel who is sitting on the window seal.
Taylor has on bright blue denim jeans with rips going from the tip of her thighs to the tip of her knees. She has on a large purple sweater that's says Blackbridge cheer on it in white lettering. Her long brown hair is pulled up into a perfect messy bun. If that's even possible?
Joe had his usual on a T-shirt and blue straight jeans that met black converse. Mitchel was the classy one between Joe and himself. Mitchell wore a blue long sleeve button up shirt with white poke-a-dots on it and nice black jeans and he too wore all black converse.Sighing I set my stuff down next to my desk in the middle of the classroom and make my way to the back. Dropping the McDonald's bag in front of Taylor she glares at me with the most disgusted look on her face. "That stinks." She says holding her hand over her nose. "Take it away." Waving her hand like a queen she turns her head away to face the opposite direction of the bag.
Rolling my eyes at her remark to the food I pick the bag up and set it next to Mitchel. "Better?" I ask with the least amount of annoyance I can. Just every time Taylor opens her big mouth I want to vomit. Have you ever had that one girl/guy that whenever they talk they sound like a nasally, whiny jerk? Oh yeah, that's Taylor for ya. Glaring at me in return Taylor sticks her nose in the air as to say bow down peasant. Looking at Joe I cross my arms."Can I go now? Got everything you want right?"Smirking at me Joe looks me up and down with hungry eyes. "Yep. Thanks Iv." He says with as much sarcasm as possible. The man is truly disgusting. He eyes me like candy right in front of Taylor who is his girlfriend. I can't stand Joe, and I can barely stand Mitchel; but he's better than Joe. That's for sure.
As I turn my back to walk away Mitchel whistles at me like a dog. "Uh, yo. Wierdo where's the ketchup?"
"You didn't say you wanted ketchup today now did you?" I reply back hand on hip.
"Listen here Iverly." Michel says with so much revolt in his voice it makes me want to run away. "You should know that I eat everything with ketchup." Tossing a crumbled up McDonald's bag at my head he smirks. "So next time, get it right."
Once again I turned my back to the trio and faced the rest of class. They all stared at me, just watching as I was treated like dirt and humiliated. Looking down I let my chestnut brown hair fall over my face. Biting my lip I fight back the urge to cry. Taking my seat I take off my heavy sweater and scarf. Looking up as my teacher walks in I meet a pair of icy blue eyes. Next to my teacher stands a new male student who looks to be about 6 foot and has a very nice build. The new students blue eyes met my own green ones. A small flicker of a twinkle flashes across his eyes and I feel my face become warm as he continued to stare at me. Quickly I averted my eyes to look anywhere else only to meet Jessica's. Her face said it all as she tapped her bright pink nails against her chin.
Great more reason for them to boss me around. Jessica's eyes left mine to look at the new student. With her opposite hand that's not tapping her chin she wiggles her fingers at the new student while smiling at him.
"Class, today we have a new student. His name is Jesper Kay. Please make him feel welcome." Mrs. Johnson says over her red rimmed glasses. Looking back at Jesper Mrs. Johnson smiles. "Go take a seat next to Jessica, Jessica please raise your hand."
Raising her hand, Jessica smiles again at Jesper before looking at me. Rolling my eyes I look down at my English textbook. Yay, another new student to torment me.
