Finnian - A Promise

You stood beside him, hand in hand. A cheeky grin plastered on your features as you glance at him. Finny had his eyes closed like you had told him to; he didn't dare peak, not wanting to upset you for ruining the suprise you had for him. "Happy Birthday Finny!" You yelled out while outstretching your arms. Finnian cracked his eyes open to see a wonderful sight. It looked like a chubby house, filled with blankets and surrounded by red and white roses that smelt so heavenly. He was sure he had died. "Y-You did all this (Y/N)?!" He asked in an exited tone.

You nodded your head with a sheepish grin. "Yeah~" He smiled and picked you up in a strong hug, spinning you around fast enough to give you whiplash. You merely laughed and wrapped your arms around his neck to hug him back. The blonde squashed your cheek in a kiss as he now jumped up and down happily. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He yelled over and over as his eyes lit up brighter than the brightest of stars. You giggled into your palm, smiling softly with a soft cough into your palm. "You're welcome Fin~ I'd do anything for you!" He looked at you now, as you said those words, something sparked in the boy's heart.

He walked over and took both of your hands into his, looking you deeply in the eyes. "Then you've gotta promise me something..." He whispered, you blushed a faint red but nodded. "Anything~" You repeated with a grin. The blonde smiled sweetly as he cupped your cheeks, eyes set straight dead to yours. "Promise me... You will never leave me..." He mumured in a hopeful tone. 

You froze at this, how could you promise him such a thing, especially with the secret you were keeping. "...I promise..." You whispered. Finny and you both exchanged sweet smiles before him slowly pressed his lips to yours. A smile spreading across your lips as he did so. You immediately kissed back pulling his head closer.

Over the weeks your secret started to show, Finny held you close as you stared at the sky, face pale and lips blue, quivering. "(Y/N)! What's wrong?! Are you cold?" You shook your head, actually you were feeling like you had just bathed in a boiling pot of water. "I-I'm fine, Finny... Don't worry." But over time your condition got worst, your hair lost it's colour, as did you pace. Your brightness left your body and your soul became weak, like your heart. Soon you couldn't manage to even get out of the bed. Your breaths became shallow and barely able to be heard.

Finnian watched you the whole time, and each time you looked worse, his heart would slowly gain another crack. "(Y/N)..." Your (e/c) orbs locking with his. "Mhmmm?" He drew in a deep breath and twinddled his fingers. "You're not going to break your promised are you...?" He asked with glassy eyes. Your heart skipped a beat as you stared at him, opening your mouth but nothing came out. "Please don't..." he whispered, his voice cracking.

You slowly grasped his hand. "I won't... I will never EVER break that promise..." You mumbled, your eyes fluttered closed as you tried to get some rest.

The next day you were much more lively, walking about and jumping in exitement. You had finally beat this disease! Or so you thought...

Finny smiled at you in a bright relieved way as he pulled you into a loving embrace. Soon it turned into a sweet kiss, his lips locking with yours perfectly, gliding his tongue over your lower lips, you parted them for him. His tongue darted into your mouth, exploring every corner with a loving yet lustful aura. Soon the kiss became heated and he had you layed down on the bed.

He suckled at your neck, biting lightly. "You won't ever leave me?" He questioned. You shook your head. "Ever." He smiled at this and the night  was filled with love and lust filled bliss. Your bodies moulding together to become one.

Finnian's eyes fluttered open, his arms wrapped securely and prorective around your neked body. "Mhmmm... morning." He whispered beside your ear but you didn't even shudder. He furrowed his brow. "Love?" He questioned with lightly shaking you with a charming smile, sitting up he hovered over you staring at your pale and cold body. He caressed your cheek, eyes becoming watery. "(Y/N)? Wake up..." His voice quivered as he shook you harder. "Wake up... Wake up! Wake up!!!" He was screaming now, the tears exploding down his face as he drop his head on your chest, sobbing. He clutched the blankets in his palm, tight enough to make his knuckles go white. "You promised..." He mummured.

He looked up at you, his heart shattering into a million pieces. Slowly he pulled you into into an embrace. "You promised..." He repeated. "You said you wouldn't leave me... So please... Come back to me..." Your body was limp in his arms, making his teeth clench in anger and sadness. "Come back!!!" He demaded while sobbing. "You promised!!!" He thrashed his fist onto the bed, holding you tightly as he sobbed into your neck. The bedroom door opened to reveal several curious faces. "Finny, what-" Mey-Rin began, only to stop midsentence.

They all stared at the dead body the blonde clutched, Sebastian sighed heavily as he walked over, prying the girl from the sobbing boy, wrapping her in the sheet before lifting her in his arms and leaving the room, Finny(covered by another sheet) shook his head and reached out his hand. "Bring her back!!!" He screamed as he tried to rush after, Mey-Rin and Bard held him back. "Finny... We can't do that..." Bardroy whispered.

Finny scream your name over again, crouching over the bed as he cried into the pillow. "You promised (Y/N)! You promised!!!"
