"Killing yourself won't end the pain, it will only transfer the pain.." Eun Ji said from behind Edmund as he was leaving the hospital with Mr.Hyun.
Edmund turned around and so did mr.Hyun
"Eun ji..he isn't well.." mr.Hyun told her
"Abba..he isn't well because he tried to kill himself! " eun ji walked towards them
"I didn't try to kill myself. I just wanted the pain to go away.." Edmund spoke up
Eun ji looked at him for a minute then said
"..your phone was ringing too much..so I answered it and it was from the police station. They said they found the van driver who..hit your mother.." Eun ji handed Edmund his mobile.
Edmund took his phone quickly and he became a bit energetic at once.
"When did they call?" Edmund asked
"Last night.." eun ji replied.
"Mr.Hyun, I can go by myself. Thank you so much for your concern and all you've done for me. I'm forever grateful..but I need to go to the police station now. I'll..stop by at the coffee shop before going home " edmund said
"Hey, you just got discharged. I can't let you go alone..I'll come with you!" Mr.hyun said
"Abba..you should go to the shop..we'll go out of business otherwise..I'll go with him" Eun ji made a face at Edmund and took his arm, dragging him towards her bicycle.
"You don't expect me to.." Edmund pointed at the peddles.
"Ugh. Yes. OF course." Eun ji smirked
Edmund sighed and got on. Eun ji sat behind him.
"Faster!" Eun ji kept shouting
"Why? The chain might get stuck!" Edmund replied
"I said FASTER! " Eun ji pinched him from behind.
"Yah! Eun ji! Why are you doing this?!" Edmund asked stopping the bicycle. Eun ji got off and pushed Edmund off the seat as well.
"Listen to me! You'll let me save you! Is that clear?" Eun ji asked
"..what?" Edmund narrowed his eyes
"Is.that.clear!?" She shouted
"Uh sure whatever you want. Just let me go." Edmund said
"Promise?" Eun ji asked
"Yea sure promise! " edmund said as he rode off.

"You're the one who killed my mother! !" Edmund shouted as he held the man from his collars and pushed him into a wall.
"Edmund! Calm down!" The police officer held Edmund back, "sit down and listen. " he pointed towards the seat.
Edmund gave the driver a murderous look as he pulled the chair harshly and sat on it.
The driver pulled the chair next to Edmund very slowly and cautiously sat on it.
"Edmund..this is the van driver who supposedly killed your mother. But-"
"What do you mean supposedly!? He actually hit her with his van and killed her!" Edmund gave another murderous look to the driver who in return lowered his gaze.
"We were able to secure the cctv footage from that day. With the help of..this man here. Who..according to you killed your mother" the police officer switched on his computer.
"He helped you get the footage? What if it's a scam?! An edited footage!" Edmund asked
"Actually, we had already gotten the footage before he came to us and well he didn't edit anything. The reason is that he is innocent. He didn't break any law. This guy has a clean record. Hasn't even broken a signal. And what we saw in the footage proved that he is innocent. "
"Show it to me.!" Edmund demanded
"Sure. Here..watch" the police officer showed Edmund the video."..so Edmund? " the police officer raised an eyebrow as he lowered his head to take a better look at edmunds face.
Edmund wiped his tears and looked at the van driver.
"What..exactly happened that day?" Edmund asked, his voice was softer now.
The driver looked at Edmund, even he had sorrow in his eyes.
"I was driving to deliver eggs to a shop, I was looking for the shop. I was driving really slow because I was afraid I'll miss the shop. But, while I was driving I saw a woman, your mother, stepping out of a shop, she was holding her head and coughing blood. I could see the blood coming out of her nose as well. She looked weak and then she suddenly stopped in the middle of the street. I stopped my van and I was able to stop on time but she fell down and it looked like I hit her. I got scared so I drove away. I got really scared but..I couldn't sleep well and I wanted you to know the truth.." the driver joined his hands and begged for forgiveness.
Edmund looked at him, as tears rolled down his cheeks.
Then he looked away, biting his inner lip.
"Thank you for calling me. I'll take my leave now." Edmund got up and left
