13- Rooftop and tears

With Josh pulling my hand we walked down the corridor and up some stairs. From time to time I reminded Josh I was in pain and that pulling me wasn't going to help but he kept moving until we were at a fire exist door.

He forcefully pushed through until we were on the roof, there was a lot of plants around as this was where gardening clubs was and a few benches. I knew their was a roof and a place used for the gardening clubs but I didn't know other students could come up, or it's more the case that Josh doesn't really care.

He leads us into the middle and turns to look at me. "Well?"

"Stop it Josh, I'm still annoyed at this morning and what's happened has happened just forget it."

"Isabelle how can you say that? You are in so much pain, I know you are and I can see that. Let me help you."

"You weren't saying that this morning."

Josh huffed as he knew I was right, "Please Isabelle." He pulled my good hand, I stumbled forward towards him as he held out his arms. Careful of my bruises as he wrapped his arms around my body. With a second of hesitation I gave up and I was hugging him back. This was the 2nd imitate hug from Josh, I don't believe I will ever get use to this feeling, instant warmth and comfort, all my worries and thoughts disappear.

"Tell me," he whispered near my ear as my face rests against his chest.

"I don't know if you know this but Jessica has had the biggest crush on you since forever and she or someone saw us yesterday and she found out." I whispered as tears flowed down my face, I was crying at the fact that Jessica was such scum also that I was in pain... A lot.

Josh softly took my face in his hands and wiped away my tears with his thumbs. We kept our eyes on one another's. "This was what I meant this morning,"

I diverted my eyes knowing he was going to upset me again. "Oh..."

He quickly spoke, " No not like that just that people will care if you and I hang out, it results in what happened to you today. But I don't care anymore, if I hadn't said what I did this morning maybe this wouldn't of happened to you.

You mean something to me... I really like you Isabelle."

The tension had gone and the atmosphere had gotten very intimate, as we just gazed into each others eyes. Slowly his head began to tilt lower and lower. And then out of instinct my chin was moving and angling itself towards Josh.

Omg what's about to happen? Are we going to kiss? I haven't been properly kissed, a couple of times when I was like 4 but never seriously.

Butterflies were on hyperdrive in my tummy as me and Josh got closer and closer.

Until...

We kissed.
