"Daddy,can Melody come over tomorrow" Adrian chimed skipping to the porch while Michael fumbled with his keys. "If her dad says yes then sure" Michael replied simply and Adrian squealed in a happy way,a large smile spreading across his face.
The following day Michael decided to drive Adrian to school instead of letting him take the bus for no particular reason at all,well that's what Michael told himself. As soon as he walked Adrian through the front doors of the school he saw Calum with a suit on and a smile spread across the green eyed mans face at the sight. He was saying hello and giving high-fives to the students that passed by which was a good quality in a ma- wait what is he thinking Calum has a wife. Adrian ran up to him saying hello while smiling widely "Hey Adrian,how you doing" Principal Hood asked doing a handshake with Adrian which seemed really complex but familiar, oh it was in that twenty five fliers video right? He doesn't know it was something like that,Adrian would know because he's the one who showed him that 'wish we could turn back time' song. "Mr.Hood can Melody please please please come over to my house today" Adrian begged and he chuckled "As long as it's okay with your father" he patted Adrian's head and looked over to Michael for approval which he happily gave. "Great,have a good day at school buddy" He said to Adrian giving him a pat on the back which he turned to me and waved goodbye, going off into the student filled halls. "Mr.Clifford how are you this fine morning". "I'm doing fine,how are you?". "I am doing well, I see Melody and Adrian have been getting along well maybe they'll become best friends" The raven haired lad said giving a high-five to another student. "Yep,so I guess I should be leaving" Michael stated turning around only to have a hand on his shoulder "Why so soon? The office isn't busy today and since our children are becoming friends why don't me" He said smiling at the pale man, who smiled back.
They ended up going to the nearest cafe and talking about their children. But then a question came up that made Michael shift uncomfortably "How's your wife". "Um. Well let's put it this way, I like women as much as I like getting my nut sack squeezed and exploded" He said tapping his mug and Calum seemed taken aback a bit,might of been because of his analogy (haha analogy) but he smiled widely afterwards "So how's your husband" he corrected himself. "He's um- uh- well- he's dead" Michael stammered and Calum went a bit pale which would be extremely noticeable because of his perfect tan complexion. "I-I'm so sorry I didn't-" the man stumbled over his
words which made Michael chuckle,leaving Calum with the most confused expression "I'm fine with talking about it Calum, you don't need to worry" Michael said softly putting his hand on top of Calum's which neither of them complained about it. "What was his name" he asked lowly. "Kevin" The coloured haired man said simply. "On another topic, should I let go of your hand, you seem a bit comfortable having mine in yours" Michael chuckled awkwardly seeing as Calum was now holding his hand and Calum took his hand away from Michael's. "Well how is your wife" Michael asked taking a sip of his drink. "Um, well-" Calum stammered, struggling to give an answer. "Not well I'm guessing" Michael said and Calum nodded. "That's alright all relationships have their ups and downs". "Yeah" Calum nodded.
Soon enough Calum got called back to the school and Michael to work. Michael has a few patients today which was great because they're children and he loves the look on their faces when they get a lollipop after their checkup along with a mini-teddy. Michael is the only one in the office who does that which is okay, a little costly but it's worth seeing someone happy. "Hi Uncle Mikey" A little voice chimed entering his office which was extremely child friendly. There were two beanbag chairs, superhero and princess along with some involving the medical field, and the examination table is a sky blue colour with little clouds painted onto it. "Hey Cam,how you feeling today?" He said ruffling the boys hair which he giggled "I'm good, mommies said I'm getting my monthly checkup" He said with the widest smile and Michael noticed two teeth were missing . Cam was like family as well as his mothers that's why Cam calls Michael his uncle. The two women also came into the room sitting in the bean bag chairs, which was completely okay. "Hello Natalie and Hillary how have you two been" He asked them while he checked Cam's reflexes "Were doing great Michael and yourself?" Natalie spoke while Hillary rested her head on the other woman's shoulder. "I'm doing fine,thank you for asking" He said continuing doing his job. "Any lucky guy yet" this time it was Hillary who spoke. "No,not yet but I have my eye out". "No uncle Mikey don't take your eye out!" Cam shouted, not that loudly though and the adults just laughed at his reaction. "It's okay Cam I won't" he chuckled giving him a hug when Cam made grabby hands. "You good with the ladies Camster" Michael asked. "Ewie girls no" Cam said making a disgusted face and Michael laughed. "Uncle Mikey can Adrian and I have another play date soon" Cam asked while Michael finished the checkup "Sure buddy why don't you come over tonight so you can meet his friend Melody" Michael smiled and Cam smiled wider than ever. "You want another teddy this time" Michael asked and Cam nodded and Dr.Clifford handed the little purple teddy bear, knowing it's his favourite colour. "Bye, bye Uncle Mikey" Cam said waving and exiting and going to see his grandma who's waiting in the lobby. "He seems to like hanging out with Adrian" Natalie approached him along with Hillary and he nodded. "See you tonight buddy" she patted his shoulder and left the room with Hillary's hand in her's
