"We should probably go now," Michael suggested as he sat up and Calum sighed because he knew that he had to go back and face his problems after this. "I guess..." Calum said sadly, and Michael turned his head to look at him. "Why so sad?" He asked as he looked down at the tanned lad. "I just... I don't wanna go back" Michael laid back down with his head facing Calum's. "Why is that?" Michael was looking into Cal's big brown eyes. "You ask a lot of questions," Michael raised an eyebrow when he realised that Calum was avoiding answering. "You're dodging the question," Michael said, staring into Calum's eyes intensely. "What question? I don't recall a question" Calum laughed playfully as his tongue stuck out a little unintentionally. Michael moved over and straddled Calum leaning his face close to the younger males "Would you be able to hear my question now?" Calum gulped when Michael's breath hit his ear; the man's deep voice making him feel a way he shouldn't. "I-uh...um" Michael chuckled lowly as he backed off of his friend. "So ready to go now? You and Melody can come and hang out with Adrian and me" Michael suggested, and Calum gave a bittersweet smile.

The two went back to the car, and Michael drove instead since Calum might have another breakdown. It's unlikely but possible. The two let silence fill the vehicle as they drove to the school before the kids were let out. Calum scooted closer and closer to Michael and rested his head on the man's shoulder which caused Michael to look at the boy. He only smiled and watched the road again as Calum wrapped his arms around Michael. By the time they got to the school they had ten more minutes until the kids would be let out but they had to park further away so nobody would notice Calum's car. "You have to call the school and tell them that I'll be picking up Mel you know," Michael said, and Calum looked at him with a face that read 'really bitch'. "I'm the principal! Of course, I know that!" He said with a laugh. After that call, Michael started the walk towards the school. He stood at the entrance of the school waiting for Adrian and Melody to come out of their classes; which was boring because he left his phone in Calum's car by accident.

While he stood there like an idiot a honey-blonde male walked up to him "Waiting for your kid?" He asked curiously looking at Michael who just nodded his head in response. "I'm Ashton by the way," The man said as he put out for Michael to shake; which he did. The two stood in silence for a few minutes until Ashton decided to say something "So, um you like... football?" He said awkwardly, and Michael chuckled at him. "Yeah, I love seeing guys in tights," Ashton laughed at the sarcastic comment. "Who's your kid?" Ashton asked when their laughter died down. "Adrian," Michael heard a gasp from the man, and he was praying to every god he knew that Ashton wasn't homophobic. "Adrian is my nephew's friend!" Ashton said enthusiastically, and Michael let out a breath that he didn't know that he was holding in which made Ashton raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Was something wrong?" He asked, and Michael shook his head. "Thought it was going to be an LGBT-phobic comment because he gets those a lot..." Michael trailed off, but Ashton understood why. "I get it, a lot of my friends are part of the LGBT community, and I know the comments are very hurtful sometimes." Michael was more than glad that he wasn't homophobic or anything because Ashton seemed to be chill.

After a little while, the kids came out running to their parents. "Dad!" Adrian yelled as he ran to his dad; enveloping him into a hug. "Hey, Ade! Where's Melody?" "She's coming. She just had to get her homework". "I'm here Dad I'm here!" Melody said as she hugged Michael which made him chuckle. "Aww Mel it's not your dad it's just me," Michael said, and Melody looked slightly confused. "But you're like one of my papa's, so I can call you dad! right?" Michael just nodded because he honestly didn't mind Mel calling him dad; it was probably because he had such a placid personality. "You're married to the principal?" Ashton questioned, but Michael shook his head frantically. "No, I'm just his friend. He has a wife," Michael grumbled the last part unintentionally, but nobody seemed to notice anyway. "You should give me your digits so we can hang out sometime!" The honey-blonde suggested, and Michael nodded in approval. After they had exchanged numbers, Michael and the kids made their way to Calum's car.
