RECAP:

“I know…” I whisper mostly to myself. I lean back against the wall and slide down. “Sissy?” I hear Lilly’s voice whisper. My head snaps up and I see that Lilly hasn’t moved at all.”Sissy?” I hear her voice again. I slam my hands over my ears not wanting to hear her angelic little voice. I can feel the tears falling down my face-My eyes snap open. I’m back in the bed and Lilly is looking at me with a crinkled face. It was a dream. It was all just a dream. I look down, no blood. There's no blood anywhere. I let out a breath and pull Lilly into a hug.

“Hey Lilly pad, do you wanna go and meet Mama?” I ask her and she looks at me with confusion all over her face. I laugh and stand up pulling her out of the bed with me. “There’s a lady who is very close to me and I call her Mama. She is super excited to meet you. Do you want to meet her?” I ask looking down into her perfect, bright green eyes. A smile lights up her face and she nods her head vigorously. I smile and pull out clothes for both of us. “Ok, get dressed and we’ll go.”

Once we were in the car, that smile was still on her face. One slowly started to grow on mine as well. We made our way to Mama’s shop as I tried to forget the dream that I had. Did I really care about Niall? I couldn’t…could I?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We parked the car and started walking to Starbucks since we were both hungry. I ordered us each a bagel and a hot chocolate. I like hot chocolate. Scratch that. I LOVE hot chocolate. Forever and always. I was still a kid on the inside.

Our order came and I grabbed the two bagels and my hot chocolate, letting Lilly grab her own. We start walking to Mama’s shop and I begin to get nervous. I didn’t tell her that I would be coming by today. I’m sure she would be ok with it, she did say that she wanted to meet Lilly.

When we get to the shop, I slowly open the door and step in with Lilly not far behind. I see Mama sitting at the counter drawing. “Hello Rosalie, dear. How was the final mission?” She asks, without ever looking up from her drawing. I was in shock. I didn’t know how she knew it was me. “Uh…Oh, yeah. It was good. Umm…I have someone that I want you to meet, Mama.” I say, still in shock from what just happened.

Mama’s head snaps up and her wide eyes meet mine. “My grandbaby’s here?” She asks quietly with a smile spreading across her face. I move Lilly out from behind me as Mama puts her drawing down and stands up. Lilly starts to walk happily towards Mama, her long wavy hair bouncing with every step.

Mama steps out from behind the counter and bends down in front of Lilly. “Hi honey. You can call me Mama. What’s your name?” She asks kindly. “Lilly.” Lilly says proudly with a big smile on her face. I smile at how well they were getting along.

“What were you drawing today?” I ask, jumping into their conversation. They both look up at me with bright, happy eyes. Mama almost seemed like she was whole. I was jealous. I don’t’ know why, I had all that I needed. I had Lilly and I had Mama and I was finally out of the agency, so what was I missing? Whatever it was, it was right in the middle of my heart and it hurt.

“Rosie?” I hear Mama’s voice snapping me out of my daze. “Yeah?” I ask turning my attention back to them with a smile. Mama’s eyes are full of worry but I give her a reassuring smile to settle it a little. She smiles back and leads us over to the counter. “Well, I always draw a memory or a picture I’ve seen or a place I want to go,” She says grabbing the big sketchbook she was drawing in, “Today I drew all three.”
